Favorite Scenarios?

Post by Grey Pennies » Thu Sep 19, 2013 6:31 am

Not sure if this goes here, or Battle Organisation, or Reports From The Field. I rolled a die, and this forum got lucky.

I was just wondering if any of you have any particular scenarios you favor, or any off-the-wall objectives or variations I may not have thought of.

Our battles tend to lean towards Capture The Flag stuff, with the Flag(s) varying in nature. My favorite thus far was when we used a Pink Pwny as the flag, and elected that she was quite drunk; therefore using a stumble die to determine which way and how far she moved on her turn. It was quite Khaotik.

Fights over computer cores are rather frequent.

Fighting to take a stationary objective like a tower or something can be pretty fun too, especially if the defender decides to blow it up rather than let it get captured.

10 on 10 battles with all specialized units are the best, and in direct contrast 30 on 30 battles are really good too. Bonus if there is an ocean between the two teams. When there are too many units, it can stop being fun sometimes because the turns take forever. I usually have a hard rock playlist, metal can get distracting when you hear a really good solo and everyone has to get quiet.

Payload. Strap a nuke to a cart or something, and push it to the enemy base before a set number of rounds. If they make it the bombs blows up, and everybody dies. If they don't it blows up, and everybody dies.

Try 5v5 with 1 hero and 4 regular figs if you want something even more ludicrous than this.

Mass battles with lots of vehicles and squads. Movement can take a while, but when all the units meet in the center of battle then massive chaos often ensues.

A new scenario I thought of called Dimmy hunt (or Jar-Jars, or Squidheads, or Pwnies, or whatever works for you.) A neutral third party "controls" a group of Dimmies. To determine their movement he uses a Stumble die.

Everyone else is trying to kill the Dimmies. The neutral third party keeps track of who kills how many... when they are all dead, the winner is whoever killed the most.

Because the other two players in my house are 9 and 11, and are both inclined to convenient addition errors.

I'd rather have your sword, bow, and axe, frankly.
