Surprised no one has posted this yet. I think it looks pretty cool.

Re: Mechabrick
It looks cool, but seems to lack in a little variety. My favorite thing about MFZ is the creativity in the builds and the variety between factions. All this stuff looks the same, which really ruins the spirit of Lego, which is to build your own stuff. If they were making standalone minis, then I probably wouldn't be as critical.

Re: Mechabrick
I'd consider the £35 kit, especially with what appears to be free UK shipping. I'd go higher (to the £65 and bag the bonus's), but I've never considered kickstarter much more than a 50/50 chance of the money vanishing into an offshore bank, or the project falling through. If it looks like in a few days the target will be met I'll get one.

I posted it in brikwar chat yesterday. I think it's really cool, but they need studs on them.

Coming from the guy who has that sig, that's a measure of quality.

Re: Mechabrick
There's really no buildability there... looks like something Megaboks would have put out 10 years ago.

Re: Mechabrick
I'll be honest, I liked the setup they built for the presentation, but I really don't care for non-Lego stuff. Call me a purist...I don't need another "scale" for my Lego. I can make what I like, I don't want something more. And for that matter why didn't they pitch this directly to Lego? Seems extremely limited, and the extra stuff that would really make this more interesting doesn't even come in the basic Kickstarter fund...not interested.

Re: Mechabrick
Zupp pretty much said it. I'm sure more people interested in the game will critic that aspect so a degree of customization apart from painting should be expected.Zupponn wrote:It looks cool, but seems to lack in a little variety. Re: Mechabrick
Not enough pre-kickstarter development to be really interesting. It is still a damn good idea though.
What it needs is studs on some parts, plus the parts being available in every Lego colour going.
Saying that, the robots would be useful as exo-armour in Brickwars with some 3rd party weapons, so not a total loss...
