Today, I went on my normal daily bike ride. As I rode along the trail, I saw my friend Steven who I hadn't seen in a year or so riding on a moped with one of his friends who looks like Andrew Garfield. (Apparently, he gets this a lot) When I caught up frantically, we decided to go back to Steven's house.
When we got to his house, we decided to jam on his acoustic guitar. His older brother also came in, and he played some Grateful Dead and then left for work. I decided to play Breaking the Law and the opening of Master of Puppets on his guitar when it was my turn. His friend was all like "lol wtf are you doing" after he had been playing shitty acoustic ballads for about 10 minutes. I then played Tortia Kartel ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0RB-zbZaYA
and he became more frightened and scared. He was all like "OMG METAL IS SCREAMO! GJEAIGHWROIHWO:RIH:OIWRH" and I showed him Breaking the Law by Judas Priest. He then told me Halford was a bad vocalist. AFTER HE SAID NEIL YOUNG AND BOB DYLAN WERE GOOD SINGERS! Then, he proceeded to tell me metal is actually Nu Metal, Screamo, Pop Punk, Rap Metal, Core, and a bunch of other shitty things.
But that wasn't the worst part: My friend agreed with him. He then told me Helter Skelter isn't a Beatles song in denial, and I don't know what to do anymore.
Discuss. (don't tell me to find new friends, I'm trying to convert these people!)
