i didnt know where to post this

I've basically had an idea to go on lego cuusoo: Lego battles 3

it would have the same combat mechanism as space marine(Wh40k game) :sword fight mode and aiming mode

and you could make a country with loads of armed forces of your choice and go online and invade other people countrys

said differently it would be like starwars battlefront where you are a main army leader and youcan bring loads of AI units

there would also be a unit creator bit whre you design your army, and an offline campaign mode wherre you get money for buying more soldiers

thats basically the basic idea i put this here but it might be in the wrong place, oh well its too late now

what do you guys think; would that be a nice game?
and also, can you suggest video games on cuusoo?

Its official title is:
"Computer Game 2008"

Something I've been poking at since then.
I've been making some icons this week in anticipation of the new GUI system that is coming.
Its made in Unity.

ok! now put psychopathical medics who wander around warzones picking up minifig part and making neew minifigs out of the bodies, add the possibilities to build tanks navies and bombers/fighter jets

then put the possibility to add lego battles style buildings such as barracks and main bases

I put hard shadows in.

Ok the latest version of Unity put hard shadows in the free version.
They look ok, better than no shadows.

IRCC, the animation software Blender has a game engine already built into it. Not sure what you can do with it, but if you wanted to try and make a lego game, that might a good place to start. I recall the guy who created the Space Troopers on Cuusoo was trying to make a FPS to go along with the line, if you can get in touch with him he might be able to help you out.

I have no idea whats in Blender.
This is done in Unity which I'm sure is a much better game engine.

Right now its a terrain system.
Exactly what I'll be doing for the game is "to be determined".

A BW system requires multiplayer support.
A single player thing could be similar to a RogueLike, tactics style like Fallout Tactics or FinalFantasy Tactics, X-COMish.

Stupid Quad tricks

So last week I had this Idea to load up an image, read the pixel colors, make a bunch of quads and set up vertex colors from the pixels.
Each quad would be one pixel.

The PixelQuad thing is on the left.
A normal box with the original 40x40 pixel icon of a house is textured with point filtering on the right.
Both are like 3 meters high.

The PixelQuad has smooth edges around the pixel boundaries, the texture on the right is all jaggy.

But why Tzan?
Well I was thinking that if I put a simple bitmap font into the game, players could make signs, small or large that have any text they want on them and the edges wouldnt be a mess.

If the sign is small or at a distance the jaggies don't matter so much.
