History of Emeria - Origins

Postby Vami IV » Thu Sep 19, 2013 7:26 pm

After drifting for so long on the Forums, reading the major faction's lore and history, I have decided to carve into stone the history of the Emerian Empire. The following is as recorded in the Redmouth.

In the beginning, there were three large factions, that each inhabited one planet each (Vamtopia, Evon, and Skarl). They were the Vamtopians (Lived on Vamtopia, dur), the Vaktovians (on Evon), and the Dales (Or Daleks, as the others called them, who lived on Skarl). The Vamtopians were them Imperial economic powerhouse, the Vaktovians the mercenary military super power, and the Daleks, (What we Doctor Who fans know them to be) the hostile and rascist robotic trash cans of death and destruction, who gave the Emerians their start on advanced tech.

These factions duked it out constantly, killing, burning exploding, and dying awesomely with no end in sight. Then the Vamtopian High Council realized their folly in their constant awesome, but incessant battling. The motive of unification was easily pushed through Vamtopian society, but not through the other two, as they enjoyed kicking the shit out of eachother. The Vamtopians sighed heavily, assembled an army of kickass space marines, and lead to the War of Unification, in which the Vamtopians bought the services of the Vaktovians, rigging elections, and putting Vamtopian supporters in control. With Vaktovia in their pockets, the war raged on like Bonn-o-Tron. Evantually, the Daleks negioated peace, and they finally ended these struggles once and for all. Or so they thought. Now that these early struggles were over, The Vaktovians and Vamtopians unified, and became the Republic of Gameria.

But the Daleks would not easily sway to the new regime.

They demanded to have 15 Dalek officials in the High Council, to rule over the other members, a sign of their superiority over the Mini figs of Gameria. They refused these outrageous demands, and the long Emerian War of Succession, as it is now known, and much ass was kicked on both sides, resulting in the remainder of the Daleks either fleeing or being hunted down and destroyed. The bitter war ravaged most of the empire, leaving most of it on fire, with that, the remainder of the three original nations unified, and became the Emerian Star Empire and United Commonwealths, an extremely large imperial faction ruled by an Emperor, High Council, and Military Hierarchy.

(More to come soon)

Made edits to first post (Grammar, content, etc.)

Now that the Empire had been unified, they rebuilt all everything that was destroyed, restored the military, and elected the first High Council in the new empire, and the empire was governed by peace and prosperity for 2,000 years.

Once those years were up, the Imperial Court noticed that the population was growing rather large. Maybe too large for it's ancient borders to hold in. So the Emerians began assembling massive armies of willing volunteers for the population, by strongly encouraging enlistment via propaganda. After nearly 30 years of this, the some of government maintained that it's armies were still not large enough, the elitists were not in agreements for this, as they would have to cut their pay to pay for the swelling military. So, a group of government officials, who despised the elitists in control, began rapid overthrow actions, such as assassinations, and then mobilizations of the people, and overthrew the government, executing the elitists, and switched Emeria from a Socialist "Republic," to a mercenary Fascist State devoted entirely to it's military.

With that problem dealt with, the Emerians started heavily enforcing the draft, forcing all men and women, when they reached the age of 14, 16, and then 18, to undergo a test to decide their field in life (Industry, Military, Agriculture, Government, etc.). They would then undergo training for that field, and then be sent to that field. This "tradition" remains in effect today.

Now with an adequate force, Emeria fixed it's economic problems (Elitist legacies), and launched an invasion of the Galaxy around the Emerians, the Vipiriath Wheel, and has never had a rival in Emerian history. Yet.

Alright, made some edits to the first two posts. Time for more history.

Emeria entered an age of glorious warfare, a stable and blessed economy, more land than it could ever need, and a swelling population. It's end was heralded in BR 2010, when an Emerian battle fleet, traveling in Slipspace Stream and looking for more territory, pile drived into a very, very large, invisible object. Another fleet was sent after receiving the distress calls, arriving a few days after at the debris field, and discovered the Veil. This time, the Emerian government dispatched all available scientists to the area to conduct research and scientific discovery on the object. What they discovered was interesting indeed. When a small recon fleet was searching the area, they discovered a massive, ancient, space libray-temple-castle thing built into (and out of) an asteroid, trapped in the Veil. When a brigade of Soldado was sent inside, they discovered an intact library dating back to Pre-DSM time, containing records from the garrison on the topic of the Veil.

"Before the DSM came about, protofigs existed on the asteroid, eking out a dull existence of horrific, sometimes amusing, experiments on each other. Then, they fucked up a experiment and created the super pissed swirling torrent of badassery that was the First DSM, who led a glorious and bloody war against the protofigs, nearly wiping them from existence. And his troops garrisoned at these fortresses when they angrily shoved the Protofigs out of the Vipiriath Spiral, converting and rebuilding most of the garrison. But unknowingly, they activated a barrier that had stood vigil over the Vipiriath before even the creation of the Protofigs: The Veil. Trapped, they watched in horror as their fleet sailed off, then around, and into the Veil. Their ships crumbled like faster than an attempted american political coverup, and they knew they were stuck. So they migrated, went their seperate ways with what ships they had left, eventually morphing into the Emerian civilization."

Although it's past had been (somewhat) revealed, the Wall remained impenetrable, until Roselyn Frank decided that she had time to visit this backwater outpost to help out her scientist underlings.
