Mobile Frame Zero: Alpha Bandit - Microspace Kickstarter
I'm surprised that I'm the first one to post this, but the Mobile Frame Zero: Alpha Bandit Kickstarter has been up for about two weeks at this point.
While the mecha-based rules are fun, LEGO space ships is something that just can't possibly go wrong in my book!
I've amassed quite a variety of designs for it at this point, and can't wait to build them up to play.
If duking it out with LEGO space ships is your thing, check it out!

I like the alpha rules I saw, and your designs look cool -- especially the Jaegers.

This is good. I liked MFZ, for the most part. The best parts of it had to do with its accessibility. The game was easy to get into but it also had a strong theme, which made the setting easy to get into. What's more, frame designs are common and imminently available. This led to a situation where new players could ease right into playing with very little agonizing or forethought but also where veterans could customize and expand on those ideas to a pretty significant degree. So long as these fundamental qualities, the giving players a chance to own their own gaming experiences, transfer over to this microspace version, I'm sure it will be a smashing success.
I know a few folks around here and at home who will certainly appreciate a good MS game. In point of fact, most of the people I've talked to directly about it would prefer microspace to mecha any damn day.

This forum is about warring with briks, hence the name "Brikwars". Does one war with briks in this "Mobile Frame" game?

Do we need a set of rules that have the players fighting against the Lego?

Those ships are fantastic! And a lot different from the microships people design here on the Brikwars forum.

It may be of interest, since alpha bandit hit it's goal on kickstarter there have been daily threads for MF0 on /tg/

There have been some awesome build techniques and ideas cropping up for the last week. More than a few I've stolen for myself.
