To anyone who makes Decals...

I've never found anywhere that sells it individually, however. From what I've seen, they usually come in packs of 10-20, and those can cost anywhere from $20-$35. Do some shopping, see if you can find anything that's a better deal, or cheaper.

Thread summary:

Use sticker applicators or printable sticker paper if you want the process to be quick and fairly stress-free. The result will look good from a distance, but up close it may not be quite as glamorous.

Use water slide paper for a better look and feel, but take more time and effort.

Use MSpaint for an average, pixelated look.

Use Fireworks MX, GIMP (free software), Photoshop, Paint.net, or any other image editing program that doesn't already come with your computer for better decal quality. Also for more detailed decals.

One more thing I think I should add: If you use a form of sticker paper, you can always remove it later and use the original minifig. If you're a little hesitant or bit of a purist (like me), than you should definitely use some form of sticker. If you use waterslide, not only do you have to strip the minifig, with no chance of getting the original decal back, but you'll have a hell of a time getting the waterslide off.

Also, on the same basic note, using super glue for minifig conversions and such is easily reversible; you can buy small bottles of chemical 'de-bonder' at some Games Workshop stores and hobby shops.

But make sure the de-bonder removes the glue before sticking it onto your favorite fig.

Also, back to decals, here's a link to the MCN How To Articles page with all the Decal articles. Some are better than others. Find one you like, and simply follow the instructions (using some common sense along the way).
