My New Army!!!

Post by Smalex » Sat Feb 23, 2008 7:00 pm

I felt like making a new army...so here's the outcome;

Image
These people are the normal soldiers and the man in the front wearing grey is the leader of this squad.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0386.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0386.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is just what one soldier looks like, with a sub-machinegun, knife, and backpack.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0375.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0375.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is the demolition squad with the leader of it in the front.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0377.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0377.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is what a normal demolition soldier looks like with grenades across the chest and a pistol.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0391.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0391.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
These are some other weapons the demolition squad can use.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0372.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0372.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is just a two man scuba-team.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0393.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0393.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is my sniper squad equip with a high caliber rifle with a bipod on it.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0395.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0395.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This Is what an average sniper looks like.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0367.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0367.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is my most dangerous and feared squad I have. The leader is the one in the front with the huge gatlin-gun. These men show no fear and don't let any emontion step infont of there job. They are simply called the sweapers becasue they sweap an entire area and just kill anything that moves.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0370.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0370.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is what a normal sweaper looks like.

<a href="http://s174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0371.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w92/ ... CF0371.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
This is the leader of this entire army, yes he looks strange but I wanted him to, and he has a huge-ass flamethrower that is sure to make a nice campfire over the battle-field, so...DON'T MAKE FUN OF HIS LOOKS...well unless you want to look like an over-cooked peice of bacon.

I hope you like my army, If you have any sugestions please let me know :D

high-caliber rifles indeed. although for a bipod, i cry a little inside seeing perfectly good flippers cut up like that when much more realistic/functional looking bipods exist for much less of the effort (although part availability is harder for some than others).

any set that came with battle droid arms is going to be your friend. those arms grab the barrels of most rifles perfectly, and if you have two of them, you have an adjustable height compactable bipod. if that isn't an option, socket wrenches also fill this part nicely (although IMO you can put them to better use as weapon clips).

I was In a rush for ideas and the flipper just came to me so I think for now on I'll go with your way, the droid arms...

They make smaller backpacks, though they don't have the slots on the sides or open up.

Actually, just find some of the old Artic series backpacks. They're smaller, come with bedrolls on the top, and have slots on the sides.

Lovely army, as for the whole debacle pertaining to the bipods of the snipers, I find that minifig hands work well. You can see it in use here, on my sniper. They aren't very large, it but still looks fairly nice.

Yeah, but the ones I'm talking of are a lot easier to find.

I've tried those, I don't know if all of them are made of the same type of plastic, or I just got lame ones. The clips on them don't hold very tight, anything you put in them promptly falls off.

Nice army. The leader and his flame-thrower looks cool and so do the sweepers.

When I was looking for new backpacks I came across a few of them so I think I'll try them.
