So like, we need to recruit more people to come here and play BrikWars. Why am I making this thread? Because I'm selfish and want someone else from this state to play the game so I can fight with someone. But that's neither here nor there. We only get like 1 new member every couple of days, which will not sustain the forum in the long run. It's time to get serious with advertising this place.

How the fuck can we do that?

A couple ideas...

A: Facebook
There's a BrikWars group on there. I think it ought to link to the forum as well as the main page. The wiki would be a good thing to link to as well. I know for a fact not all of the people in there go to the forum.

B: Brickshelf
Post battle reports on Brickshelf with links to the website or the forum put on top of the main picture, that people see when they first go to the folder. This will A: show how awesome our battles are, and B: let people know where to go.

C: Other Websites
If you go to other Lego websites, put links here in your sigs. Sig banners with links are good too.

D: Google Bombing
I have no idea how to do this, but it's safe to say that when someone Googles "Lego Game" or "Lego" or "Plastic Bricks" this website should be on the first page of results.

E: ??????

F: Profit!!

But yea, that's what's up. Everyone with a Lego bin should play BrikWars. Motherfuckers.

If you want to play against people, make some friends. If they're not down to play, make better friends.

i really don't care becuase i think forum battles are the best thing since ketchup anyway.

Hey, I've only got kidko in my immediate area, and we haven't done a straight up BrikWar in quite a while, although we have done several BrikSpace battles.

And besides, I think the forums now are fine the way they are.

Also, what exactly needs sustaining on these forums? They've survived thus far on one person every couple days. Why would that change now?

And as was stated, you're only a few states away from me. That'll change within the next year, but I'm sure we could arrange for a BrikWar at one of the WAMALUG meetings on one of your more freed-up weekends.

I'm going to try to set up a demo of brikwars at the local gameing store sometime this year. That should bring in a few more people.
