Zahru's Imperial army

Post by Zahru » Sun Jan 27, 2008 12:50 pm

Well finally I've took some pics of my small castle army. They're these new crownies, but i prefer calling them Imperials (like whfb Empire).
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=297889

A small total of 35 yet.
- 6 armored "phalanx"
- 8 swordsmen with one officer
- 6 halberdmen
- 4 musketmen with one officer
- 3 crossbow cavalry
- 2 heavy cavalry
- 3 war machine "crew"
- 1 catapult
- 2 crossbow carts
- 1 supply cart
And the Force commander, who is also the hero.

Maybe next week I'll take some pics from my 15 norsemen (viking) troops.

Enjoy!:D

Looks good. What more can I say? It's nicely coordinated with an obvious structure (easy to predict + blow up, just FYI :P ). Well done.

Hello again! As I promised I've took some pics from my vikings (a.k.a. norsemen):

(huge pics, beware!)

Just a small number of 17, including:

6 spearmen
6 axemen
3 axe-throwers
1 who guards and operates the battle machine
and 1 Norse warchief.

Btw there's been a small update on my Imperial army: REINFORCEMENTS!

1 horse acher, 1 heavy cavalry, 3 phalanxmen, 3 axemen, 2 crossbow carts with crew and two musketmen.

On next week, I'll put on my 3rd (and smallest) force: the menacing undead! (They're a bit necron like, transneon crystals and stuff)

Enjoy!

The new castle sets have some great new minifigs (new skeletons, skeleton horses, halberds.) but I just cannot get over the shiny metalic helmets and crossbows. I'm a purest for the old grey helmets and crosswbows so just ignore me as long as you like them.
Getting back into the LEGO scene.

Well it's a matter of opinion. I've missed the old castle theme's (I was too young, and I don't thought about massing them for wargames). This shiny silver doesn't bothers me; it has a bit of "warcraftish" look.

Nice armies, very large. I was intrigued by your modified War Wagon in the Viking army, I picked one up last weekend and I've been tinkering with it a bit.
