Y'know, normally I'd egg on your joke, but Ghosts of Onyx was probably the most epic book I've ever read.

Kurt is the most amazing Spartan EVER, though the other one that fist-fought a Hunter was up there.

point 1: weapon. a battle rifle fires bullets, which (fluffwise) can't do much against the average 10 foot tall astartes superhuman. it looks especcially pathetic when placed to a blotgun twice its size which is basically an automatic RPG gun

point 2: numbers. as far as I know, there is only 1 spartan left. and even with the other 12 you speak of the are horribly outnumbered by the astartes who come with 100 supermen to kick ass because the emperor said so. (note that this point is pretty weird for space marines)

point 3: raw strength. MC is still human sized, astartes are giants and have a significant advantage in shear body and musclemass. on the otherhand, this does make them large targets.

point 4: armor. can you please tell me why the hell spartan armour can be better than power armour?

counter point 1: intelligence. I don't think MC would ever be so stupid to go fight without helmet

well Ranger, mc is 7,2" and a space marine is like 7,10" 8, so not much of an advatage (consitering a brute is like 10,8")

as for armor, im not saying power armor sucks but mc is better:

6:mc armor WITHOUT shield is VERY strong, it is a titainom alloy with a super tough crystill layer.. an energy sword could not cut throu it in the book

7:the shield, did you see the whole six hunter shot thing? thats like maybe a
40k plasma rifle or necron heavy gauss rifle so a 75cal bolter wont kill him easaly

8:mc can survive space rentery


9:space marine power armor is tough but it can have holes punched in it makeing said marine easyer to kill

10:in one book mc take out more than 45-50 brutes and i think brutes are some what like marines (huge, tough, realy strong,)

sooo i mean iv played lots of 40k and when have you seen one marine(not an HQ like a chaplian or chapter master) take on a whole two or three squads by him self?? even in books the normal marines are not that good

im not saying marines are dumb just maybe not what gw bosts them to be

Spaz mehreens are also about 200 pounds heavier and a bit faster too.

No, that's like maybe a heavy stubber equivalent. Mehreens can survive gauss fire (rarely).

Nobody tries to rent spaz mehreens. In case you meant reentry, mehreens also have dreadnoughts. In drop pods. Your point is invalid.

Brutes are basically orks. Mehreens kill orks every day.

spartans shields recharge. so they can't have hole shot in them

ya but can ONE marine take on 30 orks?? no they get choped up and peed on

the sweeping advance would need like a squad of marines not 1

if mc had to take on anything more than one marine...he would get spartan lazers and jack there weapons like power swords
