Daleks are NOT bots. They are emotionless, driven by one primary directive, and reside within the confines of battle-ready R2D2 suits, which, to the layman, may cause them to seem outwardly robotic. They are, however, organic and posses living brains and organs.
If anything, they're cyborgs.
