Lol, lapdance. I can just imagine something like that, get the leia costume and if there is a censored chat, someone just walking round, asking kids if they want to come with them.

Professor Fairfield wrote:Hmm. Liking a lot, but it still leaves me a little worried. Mostly, I worry about the locations of all the things made by players. The idea of a private space to build things in initially makes a lot of good sense, but exactly what you can do with them once you okay them with the mods and put them in public hasn't really been announced. I still want cities that are built cooperatively by many6 players, and I still want players to be able to attack castles built by one-another.

The nice thing is that it's an MMO rather than just a static release, so you know they'll be patching and expansioning for years. Whether or not these kinds of features are available at launch, if enough people clamor for something (and you know that people will clamor to be able to attack each others' castles, it's a given), it'll get put in the game eventually.

WOW!!!

I'm getting serious concerns that this may cause players to spend all their time on Lego Universe and less on the forums.

But what about alpha testers that Lego caught constantly violating the confidentiality agreement?

Those screenshots look friggin' sweet. Too bad that game would more than likely kill my current computer....

Cannot wait to get my new one...

Have they actually published the hardware requirements somewhere, or are you freaking out for no reason?

Current FAQ

"LEGO Universe will run on a wide range of PCs. The game’s design is scalable so that players can enjoy amazing 3-D graphics and innovative gameplay, even if their computer isn’t a high-end gaming model. Specific system requirements will be publicized closer to LEGO Universe’s 2010 public premier. "

Also signed up. I'm hoping I get picked, but probably won't happen. Ever. :?

I'm assuming its "closed beta" so the chances are fairly low. I think there is a metric shit ton of newsletters sent out.

So the odds are 1:metricshitton
