Vehicle weapons sizes

Are there any rules on the amount of firepower that you can have on a ship or other vehicle? I heard that the number of inches in weapons is limited to twice the length of the vehicle is this true, and if so where in the rule book is it?

Well I knew if it was a rule it would be in the special creation section but thats a pretty long section. Truthfully I was just being lazy. Thanks for the help.
