The servers are not available 24/7.

Yes, I am. I also tried login in at the wrong time, to see if it does the same thing, and it doesn't.

well, i got my key and started playing. nothing i picked up would get put in my inventory. then, it wouldnt let me buy drinks, and the robots wouldn't make turrets when i tried.

That happens sometimes. Try logout/login but that doesn't always fix it.
Its really the biggest problem they have right now.
Other days it may work just fine.

So everyone needs to get patched up before 2pm eastern, then get in there.
The servers are open 1 hour early today so you could be in at 1pm.
