Hey there,

I had this battle, on this saturday. The warring sides were a small imperial strike team, and an evil horde of skellies, orks and a huge spider, armed with 4 explosive projectiles.

Of course the objective was for both sides to wipe the other on out.

The armies marched forward, and the crownie hero joins the spearmen.

The Imperial marksmen made the first kills, by shooting down 3 skellies.

Another 3 skellies made an attempt to kill some spearmen... They failed, and even worse, the spearmen finished them off in a counterattack.

The remaining skeletons charged bloothristily into the marksmen squad, killing 2 marksmen in a rather brutal way.

The spider's rider fires one of the explosives... killing 3 spearmen.

The remaining spearmen and the hero charged one of the ork squads, slaughtering them (the hero even bashes on of the orks head).

A quick overview:

The spider-rider fires on the heavy axemen squad... the explosion doesn't kills any of them, but brokes off the squad.

The spearmen kills 2 orks:

While the rest of the marksmen fire on of the spider's explosives which explodes and kills the rider!

The spider with it's flaming butt flees from tthe field:

An ork manages to decacipate a spearman...

... his action is rewarded by being shot down by the marksmen.

The hero brings in the final blow, and slays the last ork.

The Empire is victorious!

Hope you liked it better than the deathmatch...

This was a very well done battle report. It's also the first time I've really seen squad combat in action where it's more than like... 4 guys a squad! You have my approval.

the ONE thing I would have done differently though, was have the spider rampage into the field killing everything in it's wake instead of fleeing, but that's just me talking.

Nope. The spider is from a creator set 4994 (Minus the orks and rockets of course).

When I first saw this box, I knew that this creep was meant for BW.

This was just the infantry part of it, but in total it's about 40 or more figs+ siege weaponry and stuff.

I think he meant money wise...

Anyways, dude, this is ossum. I should probably organize my own solo battle myself...once I get some real armies to work with. Nice job man, hope to see some more creative battles.

In cash? Well... my 2 armies had already cost at least 20,000 Forints. This is about 117 USD... And I'm still expanding my "evil" castle army, and I'm looking forward to build up a third army from the '09 pirate lines soldiers; a smaller, napoleonic-like one.

For that, look Zahru's Imperial Army topic.

Edit: I've just realized that what I wrote was wrong. That number is not actual, and since I haven't counted it again, actually I dunno the cp costs. Sorry.
