Monthly MOC Showcase

Talked about this on discord a bit.

Proposing a secondary event for each month revolving around building and sharing new MOCs of a certain theme each month. No competition, no voting or awards. Just a place for people to share their creations, and share ideas. They don't necessarily have to line up with the month or have a witty name

Some Ideas

Categories should be broadly applied, nothing that's too specific or too uncommon. (For example, Artillery April wouldn't be a good one, considering so few people bother to make such a thing)

Jun - Junkyard June (Wild Scrap MOCs, Mad Max, Fallout, etc)

Aug - Armored-Up August (Tanks, APCS)
Sep - Soldier's September (Infantry Minifigs)
Oct - October Monsterfest (Beasts, Monsters, etc)
Nov - Naval November (Boats, Starships, etc)

Could be interesting, the only problem is that so many people are so busy (including myself) that we might get limited turnout. Worth a try though.

Fireball February - Flamers, grenadiers, MOCs with flame-style color schemes, anything fire-related.

April’s Fools: All weird and eccentric builds

I`d propose:

Jurassic January (Creatures, wildlife, less technology or minifigs)

Floral February (all kinds of plants, trees, environments) of Fauna February (if Jurassic January doesn`t happen)

Joint July (Co-Op builds or cameos, something like that)

Derpcember (everything so silly you never thought to use for brikwars, but still...)

...also I support RedRover`s idea of April Fools.

rather than the same thing each year. how about we put a vote out a month or so in advance for all of the proposals.

So for example, November is almost over, but we'd decide what decembers theme is going to be before the month comes

I think it would be much better to just use this thread as a brainstorming spot where we decide on the next month's theme, and vote on it in the last week of the month. rather than having the same thing every year
