The battle seems to be evening out somewhat.

Raptor Squadron finishes off the Nurse Shark frigate.

The defense frigate speeds up to keep up with the freighter. Next turn it will need to slow down...

The Republic ships chase after the Tiger Shark, but are unable to get in range.

The freighter coasts alongside the defense frigate.

The Tiger Shark joins the group huddling behind the frigate's shield.

The Hellfury launches two missiles...

... and kills the assault frigate. The Hellfury has two heavy missiles left -- once those are gone it's down to its main gun and the rear-firing light missile launcher.

I'll be going away for a while, and probably won't be able to update until Monday. Have all your orders in by then, or there'll be Hell to pay. Actually, you should probably send your orders in tomorrow, because that's the only day I'll be able to check them.

So do we still get the victory points for the freighter if we take control of it and have it jump? Or will the points go to the pirates since they replaced the hyperspace part?

Whoever is in control of the freighter when it jumps gets 80 victory points. The most you can get by killing enemy ships is 90 (the secret faction fighters count for 0 points). At this point in the game your only real hope lies in the ground troops.

Alright, the ground battle is fairly even now, but this is close...
He only has the pirate hero left, right?
