Enemy At The Gates (Round 5)

Royal Residents - Ross Varn

Image

The brat and his lifeguard moved inside to help support the crossbowmen.

Image

"BLOODRAGE!"

Image

With his extra actions, the Bloodguard managed to cause mayhem amongst the skeletons. Bones were flung in every direction.

Furbeasts - aoffan23

Image

A blazer was eliminated by the Pups / Teddys' crossbow fire.

Image

This Furbeast was clever enough to run around as he attacked to avoid the deadly flames. However it wasn't clever enough not to fail its attack roll.

Image

Palomar defended bravely with his magic sword as the Furbeasts started mobbing him and fended off one of them, but a series of crits in the chieftain's damage roll ultimately obliterated him while he was caught off guard.

Image

The chieftain then aimed his spiked club at Hatespark, no doubt with ill intent...

Image

... But it exploded in his hand!

Deserters - Elmagnifico

Image

Xalen: "You just made a grave mistake... You. Killed. MY. HORSE!"

With a mighty swing he decapitated al three of the responsible white dragon knights.

Image

Garth charged across the river towards Haleron.

Image

A knight sacrificed himself and took some of the impact but...

Image

Garth's pike is a powerful weapon, even more so when he's charging, and it easily ripped through flesh and armour alike. As Garth stood triumphant, he called out.

"Junatan! Can you hear me out there? This is but the first of your lackeys who's life I will claim! All of those of you who partook in your bloody coup will be made to pay! Yes, men, Junatan is a trickster; a usurper, and he's deceived you and using you for his own means. Join me, and you'll be able to regain your honour!"

Image

Knight: "Never! The white dragon knights will never be known as deserters! You won't drag us down with you... 'commander'!" (Garth down to 1 HP)

BlokBots - Sloopofwar

Image

The Waterbots suddenly decided the Jungle Stalker was a more interesting target and pursued him. However they were slow and couldn't reach him directly.

Image

The mages however worked together, aiming at its kneecap, the sudden shock sending the Jungle Stalker down to one knee. (Jungle Stalker down to 2 HP)

Image

More bots arrived! Granddad revealed himself to be a hero and tried to heroic feat himself and lil' blue out of there, but failed horribly, causing both of them to be trampled under the sudden stampede. (neutral party eliminated)

Image

They broke off in a sprint towards the main gate - holy crap

Image

Defenders on the walls were occupied with attacks from BlokBots as they continued their advance, but none were killed.

Rangers - Paco the Duck Ninja

Image

The clash of the titans begun with the Jungle Stalker taking a graceful swing at the giant's head, finally managing to harm him. (dark giant down to 2 HP)

Image

The ranged troops continued and fired at Hatespark's flank, inflicting casualties on the blazers.

Image

The druid concentrated on the river. He had an unpleasant surprise for the WaterBots in mind...

Image

But his spell failed and instead a Double (a bigger, more powerful BlokBot) appeared from the water!

Hitokiri - Killer Karetsu

Image

No way this can't be happening... He's still meditating, and accumulating a +1 mod for his next attempt...

Image

Hitokiri: Better take this from him. He was trying to cut off his own head earlier and the battle is tough enough as it is...

Image

One Hitokiri archer switched to melee, charged, and heroically cut down a blazer before the flames could harm him.

Image

Another ran into the water to attempt to stop the tide of the Waterbots, taking out one in the process.

Phineus' Horde - Zahru II

Image

The dark giant retaliated by knocking the Jungle Stalker on the head with the drawbridge. The Jungle Stalker had a hard head tough, and the drawbridge merely broke to pieces.

Image

Skeletons assaulted the Bloodguard, but failed to kill.

Image

What's this? Well, whatever it was meant to be, it turned out it wasn't Phineus' most imaginative day, and to make matters worse, the thing didn't listen to his commands - on the contrary! Before he had too much time to worry about this, however, something else attracted his attention. There was singing... coming from the castle?! He heard what he thought were limericks being sung by the raw voices of the Bulls.

Bulls - Warhead

Image

There once was a Necro named Phineus
Who wanted to kill every one of us
But his plans all screwy
When his head went Ka-Blowie
'Cause of the shot by Valarius!

Image

There was once an undead horde
They fought us for all they were worth
But they were really smelly
No surprise coming from hell’s belly
So they left of their own accord

Image

There was once a necromancer...

Image

Phineus: What on earth are they doing?

Image

He wasn’t a very good dancer

Image

So we shot at his feet
And we made him bleed

Image

Meanwhile he’s died of cancer

Image

Phineus: "There's nothing wrong with my dancing skills!"

Image

There was once a ranger named Valarius
He’d kick the crap out of Phineus
And when he did
The undead all hid
So we drank until the night was upon us

All Bulls were inspired by the singing and got +1 to their skill rolls until the end of the round.

Image

Both exits were blocked from the enemy...

Image

A wall of flesh and muscle awaited anyone trying to squeeze through the narrow doorways. These bulls however didn't retreat before they had defeated their assailants - killing two Waterbots in the process.

Image

Some Bulls started heating up some sand.

Falx Special Operations - Yoda_Dog

Image

The hero repeated his feat on Subute. Luckily for the old Hitokiri, he didn't have his blade anymore this time around, but he did lose the +1 mod... again.

Image

The female assassin sprinted through the portal.

Image

And the male jumped the walls while the rest of his team followed behind him.

Image

The Falx Marines were brought back by the female assassin, along with two more assassins! The few remaining Falx of the first wave sprinted for all they were worth to join up with their comrades. (the Marines are reinforcements for Silverdream, the extra assassins will be controlled by Yoda_Dog)

Wolfpack Knights - Ogel96

Image

The remaining knights sought to avenge their fallen leader. Their crossbows dealt with Hatespark's dragon, but the wraith wasn't harmed.

New faction entering!

Jinpu Tai - RJ

Image

Two mysterious cloaked individuals appeared on the gate seemingly out of nowhere, glaring at the newly arrived Falx invasion forces...

Desert Golems - NPC

Image

The firelances struck and killed more of the Wolfpack knights, as well as a horse.

Image

A furbeast was burninated by some blazers while Hatespark grabbed the ballista. He tried to use his heroic feat to reorganise his army now they were caught in between two sides but failed - as a result his troops couldn't move. (lots of failed feats this round, jeez)

Image

The giant withstood the attack, but a pup was caught by the other spear.

Image

When the crossbow-armed golems fired their blazing projectiles, the last Wolfpack knight was on his own. More shots were fired at the Furbeasts as well but none died.

Not pictured: The Gripper tries to put a Blazer back together but crit fails and instead rips a dead Falx's head off.

I figured some people would drop out when I took this long - which is why I changed my reporting style, so things could go way smoother from now on. But I'll see who I'll still receive orders from first...

edit: If you're serious, I suppose Yoda_Dog could just command the whole Falx... if he's still up for it. I'll PM people with the stats of their newly acquired units / weapons / whatnot tomorrow.

Just a heads up because not everyone may still know what’s going on, I’m currently awaiting orders from:

Ogel96 (you can control the remains of the Dweller Garrisson as well because you only have 1 fig left and no one was last turn)

Sorry if my orders seemed a bit rushed. I was rushed before I left for a trip.

I'll see what I can do next weekend. I'm working a job and am hardly at home this weekend either.
