Battle near Drakhelm -signup-

Post by Zahru II » Thu Jun 09, 2011 12:45 am

Our heroes ventured off from Dawnport, towards the haven of the drakhirri mercenaries, in order to ask for a couple soldiers. However, about halfway there...

Image

'By the runes, if it isn't the Drakhirri Lord himself! How fortunate!'

'Yeah, I was kinda getting bored of the whole walk-walk-walk deal...'

Image

'Greetings. I am Liana Crowclaw, and we are seeking your aid.'

'Seeking aid, huh? Well you're not the only one then.

'What do you mean?'

Image

'Me and my men were returning to Drakhelm from our previous assignment, only to find ourselves locked in conflict!' This piece of land was ravaged back in the days of the factions, when they fought over the control of that hill fort like rabid dogs. Even after the unification they left it as is, for a grim memento of dissent.

Image

Of course, the ever so vigilant undead want this piece of land for themselves to help them in their conquest. It's understandable, although it'd hurt my business pretty badly.

Image

Not to say that the imperials would be better! I'm certain that they'd patch up these ruins as an outpost, referring to the 'evil threats'. And probably they'd monitor are actions, or far worse, enlist as in their army. Fighting for free? Can you imagine that? *cackles*

Image

'Okay, I went ahead myself. Now listen, Lady Liana, if you want us so badly, then you and your companions must aid us. Help me get past the ruined fort, that's already drakhirri territory. If we can manage through alive, I may lend you some spare men, for quite a minuscule price.'

Image

'Fine. We might use the withered warmachinery that was left behind. Although we must avoid combat with our own men, if possible.'

'That wouldn't depend on me. You see, this region is pretty heavily attacked in the past few weeks, and some tend to blame us for this. I can't guarantee you a safe pass. After all, you're in leagues with the Drakhirri now. *cackles*

Welcome to Battle near Drakhelm.

Overview and objectives:

Image

The Party (I'm letting them played by the same guys who controlled them in AoD, but in exchange I demand to stay sharp and send their PMs in time):
-Liana Crowclaw (Killer Karetsu)
-Gillaume, adventurer extraordinaire (General of Death)
-Bjarn, Monster hunter (Cpt. Halan)

Objective for all 3: Escort the Drakhirri Lord beyond the fort ruins. The Drakhirri Lord MUST survive. Also, take care of eachother, and if possible, stay alive.

Spots that are still free to take:

-The Drakhirri Lord and retinue - Elmagnifico

1 hero, 6 drakhirri warriors.

Objective: Get the Lord past the ruins.

- Undead Invaders - Silverdream

1 vampire knight hero, 3 squads, 1 bone beast.

Objective: Seize the area, and kill any hostile opposition.

- Imperial Region Guard - Bragallot

1 runeknight hero, 3 squads.

Objective: fight back the undead opposition.

So that's it for now, once I have all slots fill, I'll give you some stats, and then you may start sending orders.

UPDATE: Slots taken, some stats added:

ALL Heroes have 1d10 skill, 7 inch mov, 2d6 armor, 2 actions per round and 3 hp. They sport regular gear (shields and armors), except for their weapons which are all heroic weapons (ur3, 2d6 damage, CC/10inch range for Gil). Bjarns' throwing hammer has u3, 6 inch range and 1d6+1 damage.

The undead hero has limited necromantic powers. The bloody grail is a special item, using it is 1 action. It heals 1 hp damage from the vampire hero then empties. The vampire hero can refill the grail, by killing an enemy unit on his own.

Other unit stats can be found in the encyclopedia.

The Bone Beast:

1d6+2 skill
8 inch movement
2d10 armor
3 hp
2 actions

Special ability: Fear generator (all non-undead units within a 3 inch radius of the BB suffer -1 skill)

Attacks:

Claw: ur3, 1d6+2 damage, cc. Each claw counts as one weapon, so yes, it can strike twice.

Coldfire: ur 4, 2d6 damage. Ignores any additional armor and parry. Costs 2 actions.

While I have no expectation of this happening, can I call dibs on one of the reserved characters in the event that they don't post orders for an extended period of time/number of turns?
