OTHER BRICK WARGAMES

Guenther Games
IndyLUG's been doing some brick gaming lately, and most recently gave Peter Guenther's BrickQuest a try. From Jeramy Spurgeon's post to lugnet.gaming:
| It was a little rocky the first couple of rounds, but the rules were simple enough that most did not need prior knowledge of them prior to the game. We tried our hand at BrikWars (or rather QuikWars) two months earlier and think that BrickQuest has won our favor for future outings into the gaming universe. |
Sounds like a pretty good endorsement to me.
Peter F. Guenther actually has two excellent contributions to brick gaming, each solidly written and thoroughly playtested (in the way that the majority of brick-based games, sadly, aren't). Both are geared towards convention play, so they're quick and easy to pick up:
BrickQuest is a fantasy dungeon-crawl in the spirit of games like HeroQuest. A BrickMaster supplies the dungeon and its inhabitants, and players are then let loose to hack and slash their way to glory.
BrickMech is a standard mech-combat game, giving players giant robot war machines to pit against each other. It looks like it's set up to add room for vehicles in a future expansion.
