Re: The official LOOT topic

EDIT: Where are you finding battle packs in person, actual Lego Stores?

Check out these cool Ninjago snake dudes, very Conanesque armor. Got them from my local third party Lego distributor.

Good battle, lots of carnage. That fortress is a great set piece, and I'm impressed by the multitudes you have assembled. :studgod:

Re: The Irrefutable Accusation vs Zombie Shoppers!

As a follow-up, the Klone base plates are Make-It Blocks... and for a dollar at the Dollar Tree, they do the job surprisingly well. (I think they are 4 or 5 bucks at Wal-Mart.) For zombies I used Minifig stats, never sprinted, and if a figure was grabbed by a zombie, any zombie could make a bite att...

The Irrefutable Accusation vs Zombie Shoppers!

Watch as Gamer Gary, Karate Child (he's 23), Native Norman, Ragequit Reggie, and Betty Ballista crash-land on a Klone-Brand planet and then crash into its inhabitants! A good time was had by some!

Re: Going Away/Coming Back

I'm back!

My nieces have my old lifelong collection of Legos, but I have been steadily building up my own. Eventually, both collections will likely merge again in the future: either they'll grow out of them (gasp!) or they'll want to spend more time blowing up stuff with their uncle.

Re: Lego doodles POST THEM

I think the smiley does it for me on that tank. Here is what started as a microscale walker and turned into a creepy spider bot. EDIT: Hold on, I broke something trying to be crafty and use my newfangled so-called smartphone instead of the desktop. EDIT EDIT: There we go. The bits on the bottom are ...

Re: Nexo Knights

I bought the two generic knight vs demon sets, plus the Macy DX. Pretty cool, not super jazzed about the little shield windows, but happy to see studs on the armor, shields and the like. Plus, dark OTC. Really just need summer to get here so I can check out that power-armored guy. EDIT 2-19-16: I pi...

Unfortunately, Silent, the link isn't working for me. :(

Also, Morganm... Lego stores are a thing? I quick search turned up three such places in Denver/Boulder... this is the kind of place I've always wishes was real but never new about!

Building your own dudes, brick by brick

So, OK, we usually do that when we want to make a uniform look for our armies. A certain head here, a specific helmet there, etc. However, aside from hoping you bought a bunch of similar sets (unlikely), it seems the only other way to piece together specific figures is by dredging the murky depths o...

Re: Plasma Weapons

feuer_faust, apprentice necromancer! Here's an idea I had for plasma weaponry. Short-Ranged Plasma Weapon (S) 6CP UR4 6" 1d10 Overheats, Super-Charge Long-Ranged Plasma Weapon (M) 10CP UR4 10" 1d10+1 Overheats, Super-Charge Overheats: A weapon with this quality is often unstable, prone to venting de...

I read the above as Shotgun - Total War.

I've watched the game played, but it's not really my cup of tea.
