Re: BW 2010 feedback

Okay that was quite a convincing post. I still feel like rolling a 10 on a d10 skill roll should yield a better result then rolling a 6 on that same die.

Re: Flurry-ous (Melee Autofire)

I like the idea but after your firt CC attack you are stuck in close combat and all of your movement for that turn is replaced with only 1 angry inch per attack. So that would quickly break your special ability. Just remove the movement trading part and you have yourself a fine specialty.

Re: Newbish n00b questions, MkII

6. Every source as in every weapon. So striking a unit in heavy armor with two 1d weapons will result in 0 damage unless you have some overskill going on. If one attacker with 4 arms and multiple actions strikes you with multiple cc weapons and also shoots you then every single weapon gets one dice ...

Re: BW 2010 feedback

Okay so it isn't that OP according to the statistics but I stil feel it could use some simplification or streamlining at least. It just seems a bit weird to me now that rolling a critical succes means almost nothing now compared to rolling overskill even though it's way harder to get a critical succ...

Re: "Leader" units

Yeah obviously the whole trick to scapegoating is to scapegoat a unit that's about to get crushed by a catapult shot or got his limbs chopped off.
So cursing a unit and then scapegoating them seems fine.

Re: Heroic die

But this will make the hero les heroic the further the game moves on. I think people often want to add HP to their hero because they feel he dies to quickly but the whole redshirt system is supposed to replace HP. Just don't forget to keep a couple of low ranked soldiers close to your hero as he doe...

Re: "Leader" units

So if a leader uses a scapegoat benny to lets say boost the skill roll of a squad, does only one unit get buffed or the entire squad? On a side note, I have been playing with the new overskill rules and to be honest stubby I did not like trying to keep track of all the overskill dice and the critica...

Re: Heroic die

Yes, Sn die are used to add onto normal roles if you want to. Basically SN die do anything you want them to do as long as the story makes sense.

Re: Heroic die

You just rebranded supernatural die. I like the idea but that's only because it the same idea as the SN die system with a slightly different way of capping the maximum allowed die, and the SN die system is already wonderful. Now I don't think it suits action heroes to much. Their attention span is t...

Re: Newbish n00b questions, MkII

I think it is indeed just plus 1" to their size so your big fig with compensating would have a power level of of 6 instead of his normal power level of 4.
Big creations usually don't really need to compensate though. I also think for bigger creations gathering power makes more sense.

Re: BW 2010 Statcard Generator

The damage of melee weapons used to be a fixed value depending on the size of the weapon. So the bigger the melee weapon the more d6's of damage it would deal when striking it's targets. This was changed later so the damage of melee weapons is now depended on the skill die of the unit wieling it. Do...
