Good idea wayne. Altitude is the only problem I had when designing the rules... unfortunately I don't have any Duplo blocks at all. Honestly, Duplo is one of those things that once kids outgrow, parents just want to get rid of it. Ask around, sometimes they'll just give it to you. Yard sales are a ...

Re: Shipwars (variation on Brikwars for dogfighting)

Terrain is minimal or nonexistant, except for of course the floor. Planes always, always stay on the horizontal surfaces, because you can't really hold them in the air for long. But, if say there was a stack of books or a table, you could move your plane up onto it, avoiding other's gunfire. Actual...

*le sigh* Evil Wayne = Pepé Le Pew? Ha! Yeah..., no wait. NELUG has some of the swankest games. Yeah, I'm totally thinking about joining. Don't know when I'd have the time to go to games though. Do they announce them long in advance? Generally, yes. It's rare that a game gets suggested/announced an...

The first game I ever got to play with NELUG was just about a TPK for my team by a single dragon. http://home.earthlink.net/~joecomeau/images/agot/dragonlord07.gif 80% of the deaths were from a single breath-blast, proving that there isn't always safety in numbers. Wow. I didn't know a breath-blast...

Damnit. What's really frakked up here is I was actually working on it last night. I've got the figure done, but no background. However, Adean's image is more dynamic than what I got going. I love the way that guy is clearly having his Teamsteresque Union Certified Break in the middle of whatever's c...

Oh, I've played that awhile ago now. Wargames the Video Game I did like the strategy of trying to predict where the other side was placing their fleets, especially the subs at the same time, sneaking in as close as possible to try and take out his silos once a launch was detected. On the downside, t...

Despite the blockiness of your mechs, they look awesome. Yeah, I think they're not bad at all. They remind me of the robots in Silent Running. http://peterrogersesq.googlepages.com/silentRunning.png nice army, it looks easily rebuilt, so destruction doesn't matter. should have some nice brikwars pl...

I like the soldier by the outhouse.
He has this look that he may have gotten there too late.

actually, making people have no idea who's infected or not could potentially work. any player who is bitten rolls a die, but only that player and the player controlling the zombies get to see the result. then, going from that and removing a hidden pile of pips/rolling a d6 of doom, the player sudde...

I was reading the PDF that you posted Evil Wayne and at the end is an equipment table. How, per se, was this game setup to work? I recognize by delving into the bowels of your website that they were in a mall, that there were several characters with different abilities, and that zombies were attack...

you could also skip the d4 roll and use a rule that if he is infected he will have to roll a d6 at the beginning of each turn, if it is a 1 he turnes into a zombie, if it is a 6 the infection wears off, and he is safe until he gets bit again. although if you find that this lasts too long you could ...

Well, I know this is sort of old, but I don't come here often and I figure it's worth commenting on anyway. NELUG's had two zombie games so far and I've got a third in the works. Each time, I've used some custom rules and had to refine them each time. The last game took place in a mall (a la Dawn of...
