I suppose some resource gathering could be included, though in my opinion, leveling gathering skills and gathering enough can quickly become a chore a grind, and that should be avoided.

So yeah spare time caused someone to be unable to continue this project, and the rest of the people either didn't care enough or weren't paying enough attention, to make sure the succession game had a succesor.

indeed, I foresee all sorts of usefulness being shown on the screen. (inventory screens that are accessible without pausing the game or blocking my view of the action being one of them) the only issue I have with it right now is that it looks quite clunky/heavy/big. yeah, Gamemaker was pretty easy to use, and there is quite some help available if you'd need that.
I did find that depending on what I was planning to do, it was easier for me to just stop using the built-in drag-and-drop things and to just replace almost everything with scripts/code.
