Yep! I've got a baby and a mortgage now, and no more Lego non-compete agreement holding me back. And no more Lego paycheck propping me up either; turns out I was even more expendable to them than I already thought. My old boss left the company and my manager died in a car crash a couple weeks ago. I have no advocates anymore in any of the parts of the company that need illustrators.

Normally I'd be too proud to take money from BrikWars, but as much as I've enjoyed being homeless and living out of my car in the past, that's no life for a baby. So I'm having to reorganize everything and get over my prejudices about selling out.

Have you given thoughts to some sort of beneficial partnerships with brand like Brick warriors, brickarms, or brick forge?

Well if StarTrek has taught me anything...

Mike lives in a white and red space SHIP,
so any infant found on board must be an alien entity making first contact and is more powerful than a fully armed and operational battle station.

We come up with new names all the time. Yesterday it was Snortimer McGruntypants. Today it's Floptimus Prime.

That'll be $300 please. You can make it out to RedRover, Mike said it was okay.

do donations actually go towards brikwars improvements or do you spend all the money on pictures of pet bugs wearing people clothes?

Once we cover the monthly hosting and support fees for running the site, I'll look into this pet bugs thing

Is there a tier list that gets us custom art from you or do you take commissions to support the site?

RedRover and I were just discussing this the other day, before Manly Santa Day interrupted. This is still all up in the air, but we had this idea for "sponsored" artwork. I normally reserve the straight-up commissioned work for corporate clients because for that kind of work I have to charge the kind of money that lets me pay my mortgage, but if it's stuff that I can turn around and immediately use for BrikWars then it's not a straight commission since I'll be keeping the rights and getting use out of it myself.

In RedRover's case, he wants some cool IM minifig shots, and I know exactly where in the rulebook I can use some IM minifig shots, so I can slap them into the magic section and treat them as a sponsored rulebook illustration rather than a private commission.

Past that point we haven't worked out any details, but yes: custom art is definitely on the table.
