Escape from the Fae Forest (Turn 5 posted)
Somewhere deep in uncharted forestlands....
Harrier Scout: Commander Alice! We've finally found a landmark. It appears to be a forest temple of some sort.
Cmdr. Alice: About time. We've been wandering lost in this accursed forest for almost a week. By every map we should have come out the other side days ago. We need to get through so we can continue our campaign of vengeance against the Bubblegum Banshees!
Alice: Looks pretty empty to me. Wonder if we can find a map inside.
Meanwhile, a troop of Fine Forest Fellows stumble across the temple, led by legendary outlaw Robbin' the Hood!
Robbin: Hi Ho! We certainly aren't lost, no no! We feel right at home in this spooky infinite forest, yes sir!
Fine Forest Fellow #3: I think all the trees are messing with the boss' head.
Fine Forest Fellow #5: We have to get the hell out of here, pronto.
????: Oho, we have guests! Places, everyone!
Down from the temple comes a chipper little gnome in a fine tweed vest.
Gnome: Welcome ye travelers, from near and far! It seems you may not know just where you all are. My names Blimey Blarney, and I'll give you a clue: this forest ain't feeling too friendly towards you! But if freedom from faewild be what you all seek, then come to the temple and have a quick peek!
Blimey Blarney: Inside there's a statue you may want to see. The first one to touch it will get to go free! You're under a curse that keeps you stuck here, but with that grand statue there's nothing to fear! But the good statue's blessing will only come once, so the last person there's gonna feel like a dunce!
Blimey Blarney: And here's one thing more I should probably say: the guardians here want to keep you away! If you can get past them (those spears ain't no jape!) then maybe, just maybe, you'll get to escape!
Alice: I have to ask. Did you write all that out ahead of time?
Blimey Blarney: No showman would ever so cheaply reveal what makes his performances seem just so real.
Blimey Blarney: Farewell weary travelers, it's your lucky day. Just reach reach that old statue and you're off and away!
Harrier Scout: Okay dude it's starting to get annoying now.
Meanwhile, in the caverns beneath the forest temple, Jeffrey the Jester is up to something fiendish.
Jeffrey: This looks like a good spot. FIRE PORTAL! FWOOSH!!
Jeffrey: That ought to do it. Cpt Fluffypuppy owes me big for this one....
With a puff of smoke and a raucous cackle he vanishes.
But then fire demons begin pouring out of the portal!
Scylla: Look out flammable beings, We are Pentagram and we are gonna melt your faces off! ONE TWO THREE FOUR *blistering heavy metal solo*
Dwarf soldier #1: Kids these days don't know what good music is.
Dwarf soldier #2: What? I can't hear you!
The dwarves gather to defend against the incoming swarm of fire demons.
Meanwhile the Dwellers in the Forest take up positions to protect their sacred statue.
Two more elven archers stand guard around the Wood Wizard in the attic.

Elven Lancers, Elven Archers, Flower Folk, Centaur Chargers, a Fae Bard (healer/support class), a Wood Wizard with his Stone Golem (currently not spawned, can be summoned at will at the Wood Wizard's location), and hero the Warden of the Forest with the Spirit of Decay cliche. No reinforcements.
The Dwarven Defenders (Allied with the Dwellers in the Forest)
Objective: Defend the forest temple! -Joshua
Dwarf Musketeers, Dwarf Infantry, Cow-valry Charger, Gnome Tinkerers, and hero Blimey Blarney with the Mischevous Leprechaun cliche. You start with the Cow-valry Charger, three Musketeers, two Infantry, four Gnome Tinkerers, and Blimey. Reinforcements on turn three.
The Hot & Spicy Legion (Heavy Metal Division)
Objective: Burn down the forest! -Bragallot
Spear Grunts, Heavy Grunts, Crossbow Grunts, a Fire Troll, and hero trio Scylla, Scotty, and Satan, aka Pentagram, with the SUPER Heavy Metal cliche. All three are considered one hero unit and can only perform one heroic action between the three of them per turn. 1-3 new demons will spawn from the portal at the end of each turn until all forces are exhausted.

TURN ONE
HOT & SPICY LEGION
Pentagram starts things off on a rockin note with a shreddy rendition of Burn by Deep Purple
Scylla grabs a candle fron the desk.
She supercharges it!
And tosses it at the dwarven musketeers, causing a huge explosion! One is disrupted and the other is blown to smithereens. [Feat success!]
The remaining grunts attempt an intimidation maneuver and attack the dwarven defenders, but they only take one of them down.
HEAVY METAL HARRIERS
Alice breathes fire on the nearby tree, igniting it.
The tree collapses and lands on the forest fellows, immediately slaying one and lighting another on fire! [Feat success!]
The remaining harriers charge the forest fellows and attack Robbin the Hood, but a redshirt saves him.
FINE FOREST FELLOWS
Robbin' the Hood approaches the gnome on the bridge.
Robbin: My friend, lend me your fishing rod!
Gnome: Ain't happening bro
[Feat failed!]
The rest of the forest fellows counterattack the Harriers and slay two of them.
Except for this lady who dives into the river to put herself out.
DWELLERS IN THE FOREST
The centaurs, Forest Warden, and Flower Folk advance, waiting for any enemies to enter their charging range.
The archers also ready counterattacks.
The wood wizard heads downstairs.
Wood wizard: I cast Summon Monster IV!
At his command, a massive stone golem appears.
DWARVEN DEFENDERS
Blimey Blarney shoves a wad of cloth down his bottle of cognac
Gnome tinkeress: need a light, love?
Blimey: You're a doll!
Blimey: I cast yeetus, and you get deletus!
Grunt: that's the worst rhyme I've ever heard in my-- *explodes*
One grunt is slain, the other two are disrupted.
This guy goes fishing.
Oh, well look at that!
The other gnomes set to work dismantling the bridge! By end of their next turn they'll have it completely demolished!
The dwarven musketeers open fire on the disrupted grunts, slaying two.
The defender and the cowvalry charger hold back.
Two new fire grunts spawn from the portal.
A few overwatch shots.
End of turn one! Send in orders for turn two!

But dwarf-bred cows are tough as rock and the heavy metal musicians find themselves getting tipped instead! [feat failed!]
Grunt and heavy grunt team up to take down the other dwarven defender.
This guy shoots and misses.
Dwarven Defenders: (Joshua)
Musketeers fire on the fire grunts, killing one.
Cowvalry charger tramples Satan! Only Scylla and Scotty remain
Blimey Blarney goes for the shiny green gem.
"Green's me lucky color after all."
He attempts to use his leprechaun magic to fill the cavern with four-leaf clovers, but only gets a single unlucky three-leaf clover instead! [feat failed!]
Tinkeress throws her enchanted scissors.
With a few quick snips, they cut away Scylla's fabulous rocker chick hairdo, leaving her ugly!
Scylla: noooo, that dye job cost me like $400!
Gnomes meanwhile completely demolish the bridge, and Robbin takes a dunk in the creek!
Gnome: godspeed my crusty friend
Forest Fellow: aaaaah i'm allergic to shellfish!!
FINE FOREST FELLOWS: (Mr.President)
This guy starts an alluring melody on his lute.
Dripping wet but undaunted, Robbin emerges from the creek in an astounding soprano accompaniment. His voice pierces the soul. Several nearby Harriers are beguiled by the eerie beauty of it, and become unable to attack the Forest Fellows for a turn! [feat success!]
The other Forest Fellows counterattack and slay a harrier knight
HEAVY METAL HARRIERS: (Cracjaw)

A Harrier regular slays one of the flower folk while a mage knight follows behind, slowed by her heavy armor.

The stone golem finds the path down the hill overcrowded, so he goes offroading
He picks up the surviving flower folk, which squeals indignantly
He hurls the bright-colored ball of rage at the nearest Harrier scout, impaling her.
Centaurs rush down the hill, taking out the Harrier on their way
The wood wizard attempts to cast a spell, but he rolls shit and the magic fizzles out like a fart
Other forest denizens hold back, waiting...
Four more Fine Forest Fellows arrive to reinforce their comrades!
Four fresh dwarves come rushing to the cave to assist!
A fearsome fire troll squeezes his way through the fire portal!

TURN 3
HOT & SPICY LEGION: (Bragallot)
Scylla and Scotty play some GRAVE DIGGERRRR using their fallen brother as a drum kit, but as it turns out Scylla is actually a terrible singer! [Feat failed!]
Heavy Grunt goes after the pistoleer but misses.
This grunt potshots the other musketeer.
Fire Troll grabs the gnome tinkeress
But he flubs his hurl roll and tosses her straight into the remaining members of Pentagram, disrupting them!
THE DWELLERS IN THE FOREST: (HappyBrickHead)
The Wood Wizard summons a water elemental from the creek. It grabs the Harrier mage knight with an oceanic roar!
Golem attempts to paste Alice but a scout redshirts for her.
Centaurs charge out and take out a Harrier regular
Flower folk picks itself up and goes after Alice, but misses.
FINE FOREST FELLOWS: (Mr. President)
Robbin' the Hood does a sweet Errol Flynn flip off the tree
He cuts the centaur in half!
He is now mounted on the decapitated centaur's legs. [Feat success!]
It takes several forest fellows ganging up on the Mage Knight but they take her down.
The other forest fellows attack the water spirit but spears and arrows can't damage a body made of water!
HEAVY METAL HARRIERS: (Cracjaw)
Alice is starting to get pissed. She attempts to summon a firestorm over the temple, but it rained this morning and she can't get it to burn. [Feat failed!]
She still cuts down the flower folk.
The Mage Knight blows fire from her magic sword and uses it to slash off the water spirit's arm, cutting herself free!
She lands on top of the other centaur, disrupting both.
DWARVEN DEFENDERS: (Joshua)
ALL of the reinforcements go gangbusters on Pentagram and smash them to bits!
The pistoleer backs up the stairs and fires on the Heavy Grunt, but his armor protects him.
The gnome tinkerer runs in and tosses his sack to Blimey.
Blimey Blarney: Cheers mate!

But he flubs his hurl roll and tosses her straight into the remaining members of Pentagram, disrupting them!
THE DWELLERS IN THE FOREST: (HappyBrickHead)
The Wood Wizard summons a water elemental from the creek. It grabs the Harrier mage knight with an oceanic roar!
Golem attempts to paste Alice but a scout redshirts for her.
Centaurs charge out and take out a Harrier regular
Flower folk picks itself up and goes after Alice, but misses.
FINE FOREST FELLOWS: (Mr. President)
Robbin' the Hood does a sweet Errol Flynn flip off the tree
He cuts the centaur in half!
He is now mounted on the decapitated centaur's legs. [Feat success!]
It takes several forest fellows ganging up on the Mage Knight but they take her down.
The other forest fellows attack the water spirit but spears and arrows can't damage a body made of water!
HEAVY METAL HARRIERS: (Cracjaw)
Alice is starting to get pissed. She attempts to summon a firestorm over the temple, but it rained this morning and she can't get it to burn. [Feat failed!]
She still cuts down the flower folk.
The Mage Knight blows fire from her magic sword and uses it to slash off the water spirit's arm, cutting herself free!
She lands on top of the other centaur, disrupting both.
DWARVEN DEFENDERS: (Joshua)
ALL of the reinforcements go gangbusters on Pentagram and smash them to bits!
The pistoleer backs up the stairs and fires on the Heavy Grunt, but his armor protects him.
The gnome tinkerer runs in and tosses his sack to Blimey.

Hot & Spicy Legion: (Bragallot)
First off, this grunt gives the dead dwarf a shave
"Yep, should do tha trick."
"No need to sulk boss, no haircut is unfixable."
Scylla: Wearing the hair of my fallen enemies is almost as metal as wearing their blood! I love it!
With a sweet 6 on his What I Say Goes roll, Gorkul the demon barber uses the power of a new "haircut" to revive Scylla to fight again!
Fire troll: DINNER!!!
He grabs the cave cow
Being made of fire, all he has to do is tear off a leg and it cooks in his hand in seconds!
Fire Troll: YUM
The cowvalry rider lands disrupted but unharmed
Heavy grunt attacks the dwarf pistoleer but fumbles badly
Crossbow grunt has similar bad luck.
Finally this dude managed to actually stab the pistoleer
Two more heavies emerge from the fire portal.
THE FINE FOREST FELLOWS: (Mr. President)
Robbin' and lute guy start another duet.
The ululations of his song vibrate at precisely the right frequency to disrupt the water elemental, causing it to explode! [feat success!]
Then he takes a swipe at the golem but doesn't do anywhere near enough damage to beat its armor
These brave and chivalrous fellows dispatch two foes in honorable combat. Just kidding, they stab the knight and the centaur while they're downed and helpless
The rest of the Forest Fellows start up the cliff and archers take out the Wood Wizard.
DWARVEN DEFENDERS: (Joshua)
All of the melee dwarves gang up on this dude and murder the crap out of him.
Cowvalry rider picks up a dropped weapon.
"REVENGE FOR DAISY!!!"

Gnome tinkeress has orders to get up and stab someone, but inconveniently she is dead
Blimey Blarney: Poor shot chap, here's how you do it!
He fires his hidden umbrella gun and takes out the archer.
This guy stands guard at the upper cave entrance.
THE DWELLERS IN THE FOREST: HappyBrickHead
Golem counterattacks against Robbin, but he dodges easily.
The Warden of the Forest finally advances and takes down a forest fellow. The rest of the fae warriors continue to hold back, waiting for enemies to enter their range.
THE HEAVY METAL HARRIERS: (NPC'd from lack of orders)
The harrier regulars and one of the mage knights all gang up on two forest fellows, but only take out one of them.
The rest of the squad all attacks the golem together, and manage to take it down.

Forest Fellows: one swordsman, lute guy, two archers, and Robbin' the Hood
