Armageddon Bound: Welcome to Hell [FINISHED]

Post by Duerer » Fri Sep 20, 2019 3:30 pm

I'm going to post all subsequent turns into that single thread as they get smaller and faster.

TURN 7
Initiative Order (determined by d20):
12 - Soviets (lordintype)
5 (17) - Poles (Spectral)
5 (15) - Monet (ninja_bait)
5 (8) - Angry Boners (Bookwyrm)
1 - Blokbots (Space Bunny)

Soviets (lordintype):
Image
The engineer does a risky leap forwards and charges the count head on. By seizing the initiative, she was able to make quick work out of the count! Guess this puts an end to Monet's capitalist expansion.
Frederique de Monet: "Urgh... I've disappointed you, yet again... I'm so sorry, mom... "
MONET ELIMINATED

Poles (Spectral):
Image
The soldier fires at the bonezerker with the scythe but does abysmal damage. Jerzy charges Warhead head on, yet both fail to hit each other.

Angry Boners (Bookwyrm):
Image
Warhead whips out his chain in order to draw the Soviet engineer over to him...

Image
...who promptly falls victim to the scythe of the bonezerker (FEAT CRITICALLY SUCCESSFUL)! Looks like their own communist expansion just put to a halt, as well.
SOVIETS ELIMINATED

Blokbots (Space Bunny):
Image
Along with the engineer, the doc was also drawn towards Warhead, who promptly tries to take control of the skeleton with an experimental hypnotic potion. Tastes a bit like lemon but has otherwise no actual effect on the angry boner (FEAT FAILED).

Overwatch:

TURN 8
Initiative Order (determined by d20):
5 (17) - Poles (Spectral)
5 (8) - Angry Boners (Bookwyrm)
1 - Blokbots (Space Bunny)

Angry Boners (Bookwyrm):
Image
Warhead tries to grab the bonezerker to swing him around but kinda had a sloppy grip and only disrupted him (FEAT FAILED).

Poles (Spectral):
Image
Jerzy quickly lunges for Warhead and chops him down with a single blow. Even if the damage wasn't critical, the armour rolls were beyond abysmal, making Jerzy tear through all HP!
Warhead, Ligma Shard: "You can't kill an immortal, fool! I'll be back, soon..."

Image
The Polish soldiers keeps firing at Gabrys and the bullets keep failing to do any damage.

Blokbots (Space Bunny):
Image
Pulling a quick smack with the blockchain, Gabrys makes short work out of the disrupted bonezerker. That's another Warhead shard in the galaxy dealt with!
ANGRY BONERS ELIMINATED

Image
Finally, the doc makes a swift run, getting away from the Poles as far as possible.

TURN 9
Initiative Order (determined by d20):
14 - Poles (Spectral)
5 - Blokbots (Space Bunny)

Poles (Spectral):
Image
The Polish soldier still fails to hurt anything for the uptenth time.

Image
Jerzy rushes towards the doc who immediately seizes the initiative and whacks the librarian with the Blockchain. No damage was dealt however.

Image
Jerzy, on the other hand, deals some enormous critical damage with his giant chainsword, giving the doc no chance to defend himself against it. Thus another failed experiment got added to Dr. Aras Gabrys' pile of failures.
BLOKBOTS ELIMINATED

Image
Jerzy Durer: "Wait a second... You're... You're Aras Gabrys, the one who ran the chem missile launch base on Kaunas!"
Dr Aras Gabrys: "To believe a tiny worm like you could crush me, a genius, in one blow..."
Jerzy Durer: "There is nothing genius about spending years with creating abominable weaponry to threaten billions of innocent lives. And yet, history will forget your wicked science after all these years, as all your plans just went down the drain. The only fitting end for the likes of you."

Final Overwatch:

By being the only faction standing on the battlefield, this battle results in a
POLISH VICTORY!

Thank you very much for participating in the final forum battle in the Purple Sector storyline. I really hope you had as much fun playing as I had with hosting the battle. Even if I have no clue when I'm going to host the next one, I'm always grateful about your feedback for future battles. An epilogue to this battle (and the storyline as a whole) will be posted very soon.
