Peasants - TheTrollgineer
Thalia quickly cleaves in half the Uruk-hai standing on top of the ladder.
Then she runs over and bashes the Uruk-hai Champion in the back of the head. -1HP
He flips over the side of the wall...
...and crashes down amongst the corpses below.
The female Viking comes over and deftly relieves an Orc of his head.
The Viking and the farmer rush down to the open gatehouse, and the Viking guts a skeleton.
Lastly, the goatherder takes a defensive position against the incoming Uruk-hai horde.
Uruk-hai and Orcs - Mr. President
The Champion climbs back over the Fortress wall.
And rushes at Thalia, slicing away at her armor. -1HP
But Thalia quickly counters, and despite the attack being parried, deals enough damage to shave off another HP. -1HP
The pole-armed Orc frees his weapon from the wall and guts a knight before he can respond.
The Orc on the ladder climbs up and slices into the female Viking's midsection.
Another Orc comes up and slaughters the goatherder after he failed to kill the Orc.
Lastly, the heavily armored Uruk-hai advance, followed by the crossbowmen, seeing as they have no targets in sight.
Undead - Bragallot
Naeve fires a magikal blast up at the gatehouse.
A small section of the battlements are blown up, crushing a crossbowman and disrupting the archer.
Not wanting to crush the skeletons still occupied in the gatehouse, the Abomination lumbers over towards the front of the fortress.
It then picks up the ladder...
...and swipes it across the walls! Unfortunately both Sir Darius and the knight make their bail rolls, so they simply duck down and avoid the ladder.
Disgusted, the Abomination discards the ladder and observes the skirmish inside the gatehouse.
Meanwhile, the duel between these heavily armored combatants continues unresolved.
An axe skellie murders the farmer down at the gatehouse.
Three skeletons gang up on the lone Viking, but miraculously, he survives their assaults.
Still no victor to this duel either.
One skeleton burns to death before it can accomplish anything.
But the other two dog-pile on top of the halberdier, knocking him to the ground. His armor protects him from their attacks, however.
The crossbow-skellies miss their target while their bodyguard braves the flames down below.
Black Knights - TheTrollgineer
Not wanting to waste a golden opportunity, Sir Darius leaps off the battlements and onto the ladder...
...before leaping onto the Abomination's head and stabbing and slashing at it. -1 HP
The Abomination desperately tries to grab Sir Darius as he continues to imbed his sword deep in it's skull. -1 HP
Finally, it manages to grab Sir Darius' legs.
Sir Darius: "!!!"
It flings him off to the ground, where he lands with a thump next to some foliage.
Nearby, the Garrison Commander finally gains the upper hand with some good rolls.
The skeleton topples off the edge, dead.
The Garrison Commander turns around and notices the skirmish taking place at the gatehouse.
Garrison Commander: "Lower the portcullis!"
The dazed archer stumbles down and releases the portcullis.
It falls with a mighty crash, killing a skeleton and decapitating a corpse.
The bearded swordsman runs over and slays an Orc.
The yellow-plumed halberdier picks himself up and takes in his surroundings.
He quickly discerns the biggest threats and promptly rams his halberd straight into the stomach of one.
The last knight clambers down the battlements and kills one of the flaming skeletons, careful not to catch himself on fire.
Over by the siege tower, the Black Knight spearman finally manages to decapitate his foe.
And finally, the red-plumed halberdier gets up and silences the skeleton that knocked him over.
Endgame:
The fire in the siege tower grows, threatening to totally consume the middle level.
