Rev's Second Sci-Fi Faction: Space Knights

Post by Rev. Sylvanus » Mon Jul 04, 2011 2:28 pm

UPDATE 8/8/11

At long last, the Rev has returned to his home in the North East. He has returned to his Legos. As such, I now give you my new, small sci fi faction that I have been cooking up. Gives me both something new to play and a force to let others use against my other force.

Image

Here is one of the leaders of the bunch: Sebastian von Ivanstrumpet. He is a complete aristocratic snob, rubbing elbows with the SK emperor and generally pandering around the court. Also pretty good at separating heads.

Image

Secondly, we have the mystic element of the faction: the Techmage. Techmages hold sway over buzzing elements of circuitry, wires, "memory," the "net," etc. Alongside each techmage is found a cadre of peasant "conduits," little more than figs with sticks whom the Techmage leeches off of to augment his supernatural abilities.

Image

What would space knights be without the mounties? Here we find several chevaliers who have mounted rocket-horses (+2" move) and wield missile-lances into battle (exploding in a finger arc on contact; one use). Each Rocket Knight also carries a shotgun into battle for whenever his or her lance is rendered useless.

Image

The core of my space knight forces are the Razor Bows. Razor Bows have the same profile as a minifig's rifle, but at half distance (between 0" and 5"), the UR is reduced by one, and damage increases +2.

Image

Rev's Space Knights also employ a number of Heavies with miniguns. Nothing fancy here. Just Heavies with miniguns.

Image

...But really, what would a Space Knight force be like without Dreadnuts? How about 2 Dreadnuts with 4 different weapons between them? With swiveling hips and posable legs? Yes please!

Image

Rev's Space Knights, ready in time for an unveiling at the Philadelphia Brikwar on August 20 (YOU SHOULD BE THERE!) as well as take on the Ordo Orientium Flagrans (pictured elsewhere).

Enjoy.

Update 8/18/11

Hello everyone. For this next update I figured I would share the stat cards that I made for the army.

Cool, looks a bit like a Wolverine (Tiberian Sun). Not too sure about the feet though.

I can think of another use for that back thing besides force field generator...

Excellent! All it needs is a boiler and chimney and it would be perfect.

That would be pretty clutch, nun, especially if I wanted to go back and forth between scifi and medieval with them!

@brag...yeah, the feet are the wonkiest part. problem is I don't want to widen up the stance and can't find a better alternative...maybe what Natalya did and use 4 2x2 L's per foot.

I think it looks good. I have always liked the basic shape of the dreads.

Speaking of dreads, have you guys seen Forge World's newest dread. The pre-heresy dread?

Next to a normal dread:

Be better if it was more blocky, seems a little smooth.
