Went to a gig lately? Feel nostalgic about a certain tour? Share your experiences here with the rest of your fellow brikmetalwarriors!

Next weekend it'll be my first time going to SWR Barroselas XIX, it's a pretty heavy festival in the northern part of the country and this year's lineup seems great. Pretty excited!

I went to this local metal band's last gig, and I got one of the drummer's drumsticks signed as a souvenir.

I went to see Amon Amarth with my cousin last night. The opening bands were Entombed AD and Einsiferum. A pin came out of my watch while I was thrashing in the mosh pit, but it's an acceptable sacrifice to the gods of metal.

So far, I only visited a Judas Priest concert during the Epitaph tour in 2012.

I went to Winter Bloodshed 2015 with Huntress and Savage Messiah and they killed it. Looking forward to the Jomsviking tour!

SWR was last week and after healing the hangover and waiting for pictures I can now opinate. The festival was a blast, even if a bit Black Metal-heavy for my taste, but still awesome, with a great band roster and extremely competent organizers. Its like Portugal's own Wacken in comparison.

I was super bummed out that Aborted couldn't make it, but here are just some of my favorite performances (third day was definitely spot on):

Severe Torture

Image

Jucifer is not my bread and butter, but damn, that drummer deserves an honorable mention

Image

Violator almost made the whole tent go down with that mosh pit

Image

Conan was a pleasure to headbang to and maintained things crushingly heavy live

Image

Taake

There was also a sort of Q&A with three guest artists whose work is Metal-related. One of them is André Coelho (raising the horns), the man behind all of the festival's graphic work, someone that I highly look up too (internet props to who can spot BFenix, granted that there's not alot of people to spot, ahah)

Looking forward to next year's Barroselas!

I'm guessing the guy on the left with the sunglasses on the top of his head.

You see, you forgot that you're in your profile picture here on Brikwars. I went by that reference.
