Battle for the kitchen table (1st BatRep)

Post by All-knowing-ardvark » Thu Jun 11, 2009 12:59 pm

hey,

Well, this is my 1st Battle report and 1st post, so don't expect anything like amazing. I used all of my figures, minus the dwarves and jellies and a troll. I think the funniest unit was probably the parrot operated laser cannon! Sorry for the blurry pics, it was a really muggy day with 82% humidity, so we couldnt have any lights on. Sorry for the lack of baseplates.

Sorry that, but I can't post the pics here, as there are 35 of them. just start at B-1 and you will get a rough idea.

Round 1:
Bad guys go first! Assasin moves, and jumps onto volcano. orcs and skeletons move up, necromancer and nazis hide behind volcano.

Good guys turn:
Lazer discus throwers move up and shoot, and kill the two orcs. Wizard moves up, and summons a bolt of fire from the sky...Mmm, roasted skeleton. Everybody else moves up.

Round 2:
Bad guys turn: Parrot lazer cannon shoots two discus throwers( Polly wanna pwn!). Skeletons all move up. The assasin perfoms a heroic feat, succesfully doing a triple back flip and slicing off the last discus throwers head in mid-air. Then the necromancer raises the skeleton killed by the wizard.

Good guys turn:
The two crown soldires move up, and hack the assaing to little bits, unaware of the skeletons behind them...Then the wizard casts a spell, and throws the remains of the mars mission ship on the three skeletons. Everyone else moves us.

Round 3:

Bad guys turn: The necromancer prepares to cast a spell that will summon a legion of undead...But remeber the volcano? Yeah, before the necromancer can cast the spell, the volcano blows up, and kills everyone.

Winner of the game: Volcano!

Why do you need to turn the lights off when it's foggy?

Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

NEEDS BASEPLATES

No seriously, it does.

I knew youd be jumping down my throat about baseplates...Ok, I can't afford the amount of baseplates I would need to play a game on, ok? One basic green baseplate costs about $8-$10, and I would need about 10, including about 5 raised ones. Sorry, but thats way out of my budget.

I'm seeing a pattern forming:

1. Battle posted without baseplates,
2. Peggy: NEEDS MOAR BASEPLATES,
3. Huffiness ensues, possibly descending into booty bothered.

Let me present an alternative pattern of events:

1. Battle posted without baseplates,
2. Peggy: NEEDS MOAR BASEPLATES,
3. All responses must be made from or incorporate the Buddy Holly Classic, "Peggy Sue".

Peggy Sue, Oh how my heart yearns for you; Oh Peggy my Paheggy Sue; Oh well I love you gal, Yes I love you Peggy Sue.

Lols are had, potential booty bothered is avoided, and another fetish is ground to dust by clusterbombed mockery.

edit: I cannot spell psot. Oh dear, I did it again. "LOL".

CONGRATULATIONS - you just WON The Game FOREVER. Or you can carry on being a humourless nugget - your call.

baseplate snob..

seriously I dislike baseplates for the simple reason that moving around is less of a hassle and allows for more freedom than it does with baseplates.
also NO battle truly NEEDS baseplates.
Act first, then think, then try to find a way to cover up the horrible mess you made.
