[STIL] The Fall of El Deplorablo

The Magic SOB forum is for posts of story sequences that are frequently vignette-based. Put those here while actual battle reports can go in Reports From the Field.
You must talk like James T. Kirk in this forum at all times. Leonard Nimoy is fine too.

[STIL] The Fall of El Deplorablo

25 years have passed since the glorious victory at Brickingrad. The Federalist Star Union evicted the Berliniscow Naturalist Party completely from the planet Midway, site of the battle. After a fierce space battle saw FSU ships unable to break through the BNP defensive cordon around their home system, the war settled in a stalemate in space. Most of the Federal military remains picketed around BNP territory, ready to stop any major offensive. The spirit to finish them off is absent, however. Domestic issues have since grabbed the attention of FSU leadership. The late Augustus "Dubya" Caesar's Roma Intra Vacuum party lost the subsequent elections to the Developmental League. They have controlled the presidency for 22 years, with the present day featuring their third candidate to hold office.

The issues at present for the FSU are debates over reforms to the Tithe Infantry practice (the giving of production orders to couples to provide a newborn male for life in the federal infantry), freedom of expression and religion, and federal authority over the states. Of late, the issue of nationality within the Union has become pressing. One nation in the Union from the Reddish Brown dye immigrated in mass numbers to the Union before the Brickingrad era from beyond charted space, and as yet still have no state of their own. Old public plans to carve one for them out of BNP territory were put on hold, then mothballed, then forgotten about as the Reddish Browns began insisting on being given land taken from the existing nation-states in the Union...

Image

An Overwatch shot of the city El Deplorablo. Situated on the Federalist Star Union planet which contains the capitol, the eponymous city-state of Fiat Lux, it is located in the rural and sparsely populated state of Pantarox.

Its notable features include,
-A city-wide rail net with 2 stations and 2 engines
-The Beige House, the residence and office of the governor of Pantarox
-A market area featuring a significant hard-currency bank, complete with a crane to load chests of money onto or off of trains.
-Modest gold-mining operations
-A small airport
-Finally, The sphincter, which is the headquarters for the new and radical Eleutherian Synthesis Party. From here, its leader coordinates efforts to beat the other two major political parties, Roma Intra Vacuum and the Developmental League, in elections across the Union. It is also from here that the party's increasingly notorious military arm, the Blood Gorge Society, is commanded.

Image

On the outskirts of town, a group of five snake herds directs their scaly stock to the markets of El Deplorablo.

Image

Image

Inside the sphincter, on its second floor, the leader of the Eleutherian Synthesis Party, Cafferio, meets with the ranking member of his military organization. Named Tsabashvili, the commander is here to discuss how to finance the proposed enlargement of their party's armed forces, the Blood Gorge Society.

Below the two on the first floor, Cafferio's two bodyguards watch over their leader's wife from outside her meditation chamber.

Image

At the airport, 4 proselytes for a bold new religion obstruct the runway in an attempt to force people to gather round to hear their message.

"Showing agency in this world goes against the divine's will!" they shout to confused passersby, "it is His will to be passive and let all things fly past you, never giving input."

They talk of other novel virtues espoused by their faith.

"He who turns the other cheek is rewarded only half as much as he who stands idle with his head hung low as his neighbor is cut down in cold blood. That man is in turn only rewarded half as much as he who remains silent as his brothers and sisters are sold into slavery."

"To even ask, 'To do or do not?' is sacrilege; the divine wills that you always do not."

"Parents, always offer up your little ones to those who would slay you. To do so puts their lives in the hands of the divine and so honors Him."

But most of all, these men called for all who would listen to stop participating in the Federalist Star Union's war to defeat the Berliniscow Naturalist Party in any capacity. "Your deliverance will only be had when you stop struggling against things of the world and spend all your time physically idle and contemplating the divine. So honor not those fallen in battle, nor those engaged in it or about to be. Rather, pay homage to those brave and convicted enough to tolerate the massacre, who abide the bondage of their fellows with nary a word or a lifting of the finger!"

The airport's traffic handler sees a large aircraft on the radar screen coming in for an unscheduled landing.

Image

The air traffic handler gets on her handheld and hails the incoming unknown aircraft.

"Come in unidentified aircraft, this is ElDep Control. Your trajectory takes you into our runway which is presently blocked," she says.

After a moment of silence her handheld cackles with a reply. "Good afternoon ElDep Control, this is Roots 1. We're forced to make an emergency landing at your runway ASAP. Can you get it cleared?"

"We'll do our best, Roots 1. Maintain your descent."

Image

The traffic handler rushes out of her office to shout for her coworkers to clear the runway.

Image

The people around the airport scatter from the runway as the new aircraft gets near for landing. The Cucktian priests hold true to their gospel of total passivity by standing still in its path.

Image

Over at the northeast corner of the city, the two would-be beach-goers on top of the bus notice a strange vehicle approaching at high speed. They call out to the worker on the roof across from them to help them figure out what it is.

Image

The roof worker looks over to the strange vehicle and calls back to the beach-goers.

"I dunno," he begins, "some kinda big six-wheeler with a skull and turret on it."

Image

Far across El Deplorablo, beyond its western limits, the arachnashepherd notices something in the distance headed his way.

Image

A bizarrely arranged figure at the head of a mass of armed men makes their way towards the lone arachnashepherd.

Image

The unscheduled aircraft's shadow comes over the runway as it begins its landing cycle.

As for the Cucktian priests, when push comes to shove they opt for self-preservation over practicing what they preach.

Image

Roots 1 is revealed to be a space shuttle as it finally makes its emergency landing at El Deplorablo's airport. A hush falls over the area around the runway as its engines die down.

Image

Continuing their approach to the airport from earlier, the mercenaries take notice of the newcomer shuttle.

The one in front, the group's leader and veteran of another state's militia force, recognizes what model it is.

"What the hell's an old-generation assault shuttle doing landing like that here?" he wonders aloud.

Image

As the mercenaries close the distance the shuttle's dorsal turret turns and unleashes heavy machine gun fire on them.

Image

The lead mercenary catches the shuttle's heavy slugs as his squad-mates react. Some of them flinch at the shock as others raise their AK's and return fire.

Image

Immediately following the eruption of turret fire, the fuselage of the shuttle pops open to unveil a squad of armed men. Roughly half rush out of the shuttle as others brace their automatic weapons on it and open fire.

Image

The shuttle-born attackers begin shooting down everyone in sight, including the air traffic handler who had made their 'emergency' landing possible.

Image

In the midst of the massacre, the airport's cargo driver attempts to escape in his little vehicle.

Image

One of the shuttle-men who had stay within the transport raises a director's wand and barks out an order to his squad's rocket launcher man.

"Take that micro truck down NOW! Orders are that NO adults in the city may survive!"

Image

The shuttle-men's rocket launcher finds its mark and the truck driver and his vehicle are blasted apart.

Image

The shuttle-mens' massacre at the airport continues apace.

Image

As the airport is overrun, the transport vehicle across town aims its twin-barreled turret at the green roofed building. The worker on top of it stares frozen in disbelief as the energy guns hum up a charge.

Image

The pair of energy shots make direct hits on the broadside of the building and rip it apart.

Image

The roof of the hit building flips over and the debris crush the beach-goers who are not on the bus' roof.

Image

As the transport dives into the city at speed, its passengers aim their guns over the sideguards and begin killing any civilian in sight.

Image

Eventually the big vehicle comes to a stop just inside the city. One of the soldiers with epaulets stands up in the back and orders his troops to dismount.

Between this and the seizure of the airport the entire eastern flank of the city has fallen.

Image

Back at the western extreme of El Deplorablo, the arachnashepherd hears the commotion in the city and turns to see what it is. He can hear the cacophony of automatic gunfire with the occasional explosion mixed in, all with a droning overcast of panicked screams.

All while the group of armed men approach him.

Image

The shepherd's attention is snapped back to the approaching group of strangers as he hears one of his scorpions crunch underfoot. He turns to see that the culprit is the garishly dressed one in front.

Image

Now the shepherd held his animals dear, for they had been his pathway out of poverty. Born poor in the city to negligent parents, he had worked a miserable job for over a year as a teen to save enough money to leave. Eventually he bought a pair each of genetically modified spiders and scorpions and set off into the countryside to become the shepherd he was now. From time to time he would stop by a market in a city or town, and milk the spiders of their silk and the scorpions of their venom. The silk he sold to clothiers and the venom to the military, who coated their bullets in the deadly substance. This was some years ago, and he had by now grown his herd from two and two spiders and scorpions to four and three.

So when he saw the physical extension of his years of hard labor and effort, he was roused to anger. Pointing his staff at the man in black, the shepherd scolded him. In the moment he did not pay heed to the crowd of armed men behind the man.

"How dare you so cavalierly destroy the source of my livelihood!" he shouted, "I WILL take you to court over that!"

Image

No sooner had the shepherd finished venting over the death of his animal than the man in black flicked his right arm and sent his whip into an uncoiled lash. The focal point of the strike caught the irate shepherd in the face. The blow sends the shepherd reeling backward.

Image

As the shepherd crumples back following the whipping the man in black directs his purple rod at him.

"Don't ever even look my way, banana demon!" is all the winged man says as he carries on past the fallen shepherd.

Image

The man in black shifts his rod in his hand, pointing it now at the city. In the same moment he bellows out commands at his following army.

"This is our city now! Kill every adult of yellow or peach skin you find! Seize their vehicles intact for us and link up with your commando brothers!"

Re: The Fall of El Deplorablo

Post by AZKAMAT » Sat Oct 26, 2019 2:22 pm

Image

As his mechanized and airborne commandos tear up the opposite end of the city, the man in black's main force close in on its western limits. The twilight of El Deplorablo is at hand.

Image

As Cafferio and Tsabashvili become aware of the city's fall they decide upon what to do. Both are aware that no one has time to escape the city.

"My final order to you," begins Cafferio, "is for you to lead the last stand of the city's people."

"It has been an honor, sir, to play my role in our party's vision for the future. Who, though, will lead our platform after today? Someone must carry on the call for true total mobilization of the whole union and end this plague of conflict."

Image

"Fear not!" Cafferio declares as he leaps over his workstation while Tsabashvili readies an assault rifle.

"I have already decided upon a worthy successor," he continues.

"Who, sir?" replies Tsabashvili.

"Your favorite lieutenant, Commander; the one who has shown such a blend of zeal and competence now commanding a cohort against a comboint infestation on Der Dunkle Ort."

Tsabashvili looked at his leader and gave one word in a knowing reply: "Brutalon."

Image

Far from the sacking of El Deplorablo, a squad of Blood Gorge Society troops take down a Comboint hive in the hinterlands of Der Dunkle Ort. Situated on the opposite side of the Union from its frontier with the foreign rival of the Berliniscow Naturalist Party, the planet receives little protection from Federalist forces. The ESP takes advantage of this by deploying its soldiers to protect the planet's states, thus winning local favor and solidifying the world as an electoral ESP stronghold.

Image

The BGS commander moves forward with his men as they close in on the hive itself.

Image

"Clear the way of the flamethrower!" yells the commander.

Image

As the BGS flamethrower unloads into the hive, the giant organism lets out an ear-piercing screech while burning to death.

Image

The hive and its offspring destroyed, the BGS force begins to withdraw from the scene.

Image

As the BGS troops clear out, one of them runs up to their commander, holding a communicator.

"Captain," says the soldier excitedly, "our troop's being hailed from Party HQ!"

Image

The BGS Captain takes the radio and announces himself.

"Direct Action Group 6-8-0 reporting in. Captain Brutalon speaking."

Image

"It's Cafferio!" exclaims the ESP leader into his handheld, "Tsabashvili and I are about to be killed by a surprise assault on El Deplorablo from unknown forces. We leave the party to your direction. Don't let down what we stand for. Good luck!"

Image

As the ESP leader sends out his final instructions, the invaders carry out the eradication of El Deplorablo's citizens.

Image

Soon the screaming and gunfire die down along with the city's people.

Image

With their combination of surprise and heavy firepower, such as this support vehicle, the attackers took no losses against the city's unprepared handful of defenders.

Image

As his force sweep the city for survivors, the man in black heads for the old fort.

Image

One of the invasion leader's men approach him at the entrance to the fort and speaks.

"Emperor we have swept all the city and gathered the handful of prisoners you gave special orders for. What are your instructions for us now?" asks the soldier.

"Gather all the good brothers and rally them in front of this fort for me to speak to," begins the man in black. "As for that tiny remainder of the infestation that was once in this city, have them herded into this fort by my lieutenant and her squad. Also, have one man with a video camera accompany them. I'll join them after the broader address."

Image

From atop the front wall of the city's fort, the man in black delivers a brief speech to his victorious army.

"Brothers, today we have dealt a great blow to the yellow power structures that have denied our people a state of our own! Ever since we immigrated into this Union generations ago, they have always refused to give us our own state. No matter how reasonable our demands may be, that yellows and peaches and anyone else peacefully leave a territory for us to congregate in and call home, they refuse. Every nation has a right to its own state, and today the Reddish-Brown people have stood up to yellow power and affirmed that right to a state. Thus I declare this city the first of our new empire, and hereby liberate it of its sullied yellow name to christen it Justice Heights! May it become the beacon of our people until the end of time!"

At this the invading army cheers.

"Now brothers," the leader continues, "Go forth and fortify the city for the inevitable yellow-supremacist assault! Take all their captured vehicles and prepare them for battle!"

Image

As the army at large goes about readying their new city to be hit by a counter-attack, the new emperor tends to the few prisoners taken.

"Why are there peaches here?" he asks of his highest lieutenant in the blue uniform.

"Your order did not say for us to choose between-" she begins before being cut off.

"Get RID of them now!" he orders.

Image

The lieutenant executes the male peach worker with a sidearm while imperial soldiers gun down the safety inspector beside him.

Image

The emperor thinks to himself as his men drag the corpses away.

"Disappointing. Lieutenant Soua has lost some of my confidence over this. She should have known better; we all along have planned to present to the rest of known space that we're fighting evil yellow power. Including peaches in this little project here would dilute that story in the eyes of others."

Image

With the bodies cleared away, the emperor points to the young man in the front row of prisoners and speaks.

"You there!" he begins, "you were the publicity officer for the governor were you not?"

"Y-yes," stammers the man."

"Step forward."

Image

The emperor gestures to a soldier holding a video camera and orders the yellow man, "you are to look into the camera with your others behind you and speak of how you have given it to us willingly, that we are peaceful, that the city's old residents are unharmed, and that we are making of it a new Reddish-Brown brickno-state separate from the FSU. Do this, and we will let you all live."

The young man became nervous and tongue-tied. "I...um," he quibbled.

Image

Yet the old man who had been the city's main banker, being worldly and accustomed to seeing through trickery, immediately grasped the emperor's plan. He sprang forward and grabbed the young man as he implored him, "No, boy, don't do it! No matter wh-"

Image

Yet the banker was cut off in the midst of his plea as he was cut down by imperial troops.

Image

The banker obliterated, the emperor again orders the man.

Gesturing towards him he declares, "Do it NOW!"

Image

After a bit of hesitation, the former official collects himself and puts on an act as he had done for the government that was just destroyed.

Motioning for effect with his hand, he begins, "Hello, people of the Federalist Star Union. Today the people of El Deplorablo, now properly called Justice Heights, have decided to turn over the city to the Reddish Brown nation. They are creating here their own state apart from the Union for their people to make their own path with. All the former yellow residents are safe and have left on their own as you can see behind me. The new Reddish-Brown civil government has declared its desire to coexist in harmony with the Union at large."

At that the imperials cut the broadcast.

Image

"Excellent job!" yells the emperor as he pats his media puppet on the shoulder. "Now come, we can set you up in one of the old houses."

"We can't just leave?" asks the man.

Image

The publicity man forgets about his first question when the imperials begin executing the other prisoners.

"I thought you said you would let us all live?" he asks in panic.

"I did. It depends on what you definition of 'all' is. I said 'all of you.' Well you are all of 'you' there is."

Image

The day after El Deplorablo falls and is renamed Justice Heights by the newborn Reddish-Brown Empire, the three fastest FSU commanders plan to retake it.

From left to right they are: Brigadier General Guri Yagarin of the FSU Marine Corps, Inspecteur Phanto of Options Civic's Security Forces, and Field Marshall Agbennfeld of Militia Command. With their forces unified under the ranking command of Agbennfeld they hope to overwhelm Imperial forces in a frontal assault.

Image

As the three officers discuss the execution of their plan, a Security Forces soldier returns from a reconnaissance mission to give them his findings.

"Constant surveillance from our arrival yesterday to now have shown no civilian movement whatsoever. Just imperial troops movements. Indeed neither myself nor other teams saw any civilians. Further the enemy has militarized and armed most of the land vehicles, all the aircraft and even a couple of the buildings with mounted cannon. The enemy was also seen distributing captured small arms. We estimate their total strength to be at least 50 infantry plus approximately 8 ground vehicles and 4 aircraft," reported the spotter.

"I have nearly that many infantry just in my own contingent," began Agbennfeld, "but we only have 4 aircraft ourselves, correct?"

"Yes," replied General Yagarin, "my assault lander plus the Security Forces' 3 aircraft."

"Aye," chimed in Phanto, "two light attack helicopters and a heavy dog fighter. However, our motor pool consists only of my 1 light tank."

Agbennfeld considered this and said, "I believe we'd be at a disadvantage, then, to attack now. It's unlikely we could establish enough air superiority while matching them there to reliably counter their advantage in ground vehicles.

Image

"No, gentlemen, you would have superiority in the air if we attack now," said a stranger behind the officers. The three of them begin to turn around to see the speaker.

Image

An awkward silence follows the arrival of the two oddly dressed men. Eventually the one in the broad brimmed hat, who was the one that had spoken before, breaks the silence.

"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Agent Plex, at the service of the Eleutherian Council. Beside me here is my apprentice, Eleutherian Knight Khampsun."

Now for an EC Agent to be seen at all by mundane FSU officials such as the three officers here was quite unusual. Indeed, only Yagarin had seen one before, and it was this same Agent decades ago at Brickingrad. This was because Agents and their tiny but lethal entourages operated in only the blackest, most sensetive internal security operations in the Union. They each had command of a full squad of elite Tithe infantry called Cancellor Minors and sometimes an apprentice knight, could command the RAOTS, and most of all carried out secret kill orders from the EC. The EC itself was a separate elected body made up of a representative from each profession in the Union as could be identified. Normally if one saw such a being it meant they were about to be disappeared.

"Gentlemen my organization believes this attack was staged by a man who only calls himself 'The Emperor,' and that he is not peaceful at all. From what information we have obtained we know he wants to execute some grand plan to carve a massive Reddish-Brown-only empire out of FSU territory. The details of that plan are unknown but with the fall of El Deplorablo to The Emperor's forces, the EC and other high government bodies are sufficiently alarmed to have given me a blank check. I am in interim command until the situation escalates such that it requires Options Military Prime's intervention."

"Why, though, did you say we would have the air advantage if we attack now?" inquires General Yagarin.

"Because I'll be throwing my personal assault lander into the mix as it drops my party and myself into

Image

"Now let us ready all forces to reclaim El Deplorablo!" exclaims Agent Plex with a raised hand.

Image

The motley crew of Federalists begin their attack to retake their city.

From left to right in the front rank of squads are FSUMC Regulars, Berismirov state militia, Kaitarbikoi state militia, Nemoton National Guard, and OC Security Forces Infantry.

From left to right in the second rank of squads are FSU Naval Infantry, Pantarox state militia, and Plex's Raots.

Image

The Federalists position their light tank on their far right flank.

Image

The Imperials take up defensive positions around their new holding.

Image

The occupiers fortify and setup ambush around the city's west train station.

Image

The Emperor stands atop the east wall of the city fort to watch the battle.

Image

Federalist aircraft close in on the city. The helicopters and lander in the back carry commandos to tear up the Imperial back line.

Image

Plex's lander also heads for the city, carrying the Agent and his special entourage.

Image

Agbennfeld and Phanto watch the progression of their assault from afar. General Yagarin leads his special operations marines in person aboard their landing craft.

Through his binoculars Agbennfeld observes that the Imperials seem to be holding back.

"I expect a counter attack of some kind as soon as our troops begin to get into the city proper," the Field Marshal says.

"The outcome will depend upon the aircraft," replies Phanto.

Image

Not long into the battle, one of Phanto's bodyguards becomes alarmed from hearing new information on a radio.

"Field Marshal!" he begins, "we're getting a swarm of radar hits headed for our air wings! 10 aircraft inbound at high speed!"

Image

The Imperial aircraft come in 2 waves, the first consisting of jet fighters that the Federalists had not been aware of.

Image

The Imperial air superiority fighters tear up the Federalist landers and their escort jet.

Image

The police jet fighter crashes squarely into the former ESP building.

Image

The crash blows the front panel clear off of the ESP building.

Image

Plex's shuttle also gets shot down, its left chassis being blown off.

Image

The shuttle crash lands in the marketplace. The pilot and most of the Cancellor Minors are killed instantly.

Image

Khampsun is the first survivor on his feet. He turns his attention to his leader hanging from part of the crashed aircraft.

Image

Upon being helped to his feet by his knight, Plex assesses the situation.

"We must vanish into the city with what men are left," he says. "We can still complete our mission; kill the Emperor."

Image

"Get up and move if you wanna live!" Plex shouts to anyone alive. 3 of his original 7 men get up from the crash site.

Image

"Quickly! Over the wall and into the shadows!" Plex calls out to his little band, knowing that soon Imperials will swarm the crash.

Image

Having cleared the wall, Plex's team makes for the east rail station as it seems to be unoccupied. An Imperial vehicle closes in behind them however.

Image

An improvised city work truck rushes Plex's party, light guns blazing.

Image

A CM goes down, but his brother beside him turns to face the vehicle with a heavy grenade launcher.

Image

The reacting CM blows the truck into the air, making it go into a backflip.

Image

Reduced to just 4 men out of what would have been a joint assault of his commandos plus more from the Security Forces and Marines, Plex's mission group disappears into the city.

Image

With the Federalist aircraft all destroyed, the collection of Imperial ground-attack craft make for the Federalist troops.

Image

Bombs and rockets begin to rain down on the Federalist assault line. Infantry casualties begin to amass and the tank is lost.

Image

Whole squads are wiped out.

Image

Seeing the unfolding catastrophe, Agbennfeld assumes command upon losing contact with Plex and makes the only reasonable order available.

Image

The RAOTS escape as the Security troops that were in front of them are blown away.

Image

Agbennfeld's quick if obvious decision allow many infantry assets, such as this Kaitarbikoi missile launcher, to escape the disaster.

Image

Still, losses are massive. Besides all their vehicles, the Federalists completely lose the Berismirovs, the Nemotons and the Security Forces troops.

Image

The Federalist defeat is total.

Image

As the Emperor watches the battle, he notices a strange animal atop one of the city buildings. It gives him an idea.

Image

The Emperor turns to face one of his men who calls out to him.

"Sire the liaisons have arrived in time to see the outcome of the battle and are eager to speak with you," says the Imperial soldier.

Image

"Excellent!" cries the Emperor. "While I speak with them, I want a party of men to kill that winged monster and bring its body to me!"

Image

The Emperor meets with 2 representatives at the treasure trove inside the fortress.

"The Party Premier sends his regards," says the humanoid on the left.

"Greetings from the Techgnossos," says the robot on the right using a kind of text-to-speech.

"Welcome to Justice Heights, friends," replies the Emperor. "I trust you are impressed with our performance today."

"We are," begins the humanoid. "As agreed, now that you have proven yourself able to wage war on the FSU we will begin joint operations soon."

"We too are a stateless outcast people," says the robot, "our leaders wish to gather here as quickly as possible and make their own assault on the nearest other FSU city."

Nodding his head slowly, the Emperor exalts in his burgeoning alliance. "Yes," he says, "within a year the FSU will be driven from their own home planet completely. There won't be a yellow left alive, and any peaches and other dyes who consort with them will serve us in chains. Today marks the creation of the righteous Entente of Unmaking! Death to the Federalist Star Union and Yellow Power!"

"Death to the FSU!" Reply both liaisons. The robot has no capacity for ulterior motives, but in his heart the BNP representative sneers with glee at how eager his faction's new pawn is.

Image

Over at the crash site of the marine landing craft, the story of General Yagarin comes to an end. After decades of war, from the initial clash at Septic Springs to the epic battle of Brickingrad, his fate is to perish alone in the occupied territory of those he failed to avenge.

Image

In his dying moments, Guri Yagarin turns to the marine battle standard that had been with him from the beginning. The one that had been seen by countless Federalist citizens and soldiers, and always given them reassurance and inspiration as they saw it flutter above his heroic deeds. He thinks of what a shame it is that he himself has never seen it aloft in person.

With his fading strength, Yagarin raises the standard one last time.

Guri Yagarin dies, but he dies without being disabused of his life's work or purpose, and fully convicted that this is not the end of his country.

The day after the Federalist defeat at El Deplorablo, the FSU president, Finn Quinn, has arranged to meet with an old veteran for advice at a memorial near the capitol.

Image

"Thanks you for coming, General Ecklen. Your uniform looks like you never retired," says Quinn as the two men shake hands.

"I appreciate that, Mr. President," replies the old commander, "although I'll reiterate my intention of NOT coming out of retirement to command again."

Image

"Oh, that won't be necessary, General," Quinn reassures Ecklen, "I've summoned you for your counsel on my plan to react to the current situation."

"Of course, Mr. President. What can I advise you on?" asks Ecklen.

"My administration intends to tell all forces to stand down and immediately withdraw from all combat fronts. Once our enemies see this demonstration of disinterest in war, they will lose interest themselves in pursuing us and sue for peace."

"What?" replies Ecklen in surprise.

"Indeed! It's so enlightened! Passivity is progress, General. Don't you see? Now, where you come in is in helping me to get the Tithe Infantry to comply with the stand-down order. Because at this time I believe their mindset is too primitive to properly grasp the wisdom of my plan and obey."

"YOU WHAT?" demands Ecklen with raised voice, "Of course they won't. Those men has been bred and raised to fight for Union citizens, not sell them out for an elite's boneriffic scheme. Where did this fool idea even originate from?"

Image

"My brilliant and most trusted advisor, General; Teacher Pibaaldoloch Hammonspergh here," says Quinn as he motions toward the staff-wielding old man in front of the memorial. "He is the head of the bold, enlightened new religion that all of my administration has gone over to."

"And what would that be?" Ecklen asks.

Image

"Cucktianity!!!" cries the old man with the staff.

A second passes and he and the now bowing president chanter in unison, "Idleness deliver us! Agency is sin! Indolence and incapacity are virtue!"

Ecklen and the two presidential Red Guards stand frozen.

Image

The old veteran steps forward, fist shaking, as he begins to express his opinion of Quinn's idea.

"This is all abomination!" he declares. "It's a betrayal of all the nations that compose the Union, and heresy against the core religion that reigns over it. When the clergy and people discover your consorting with this cult they will revolt."

Image

"How dare you criticize our plan for a new order of peaceful passivity, Ecklen. Now, will you cast off this barbarism of yours and help?" demands the Teacher of the veteran.

"No."

Image

"By what right do you persist in your simple-mindedness, filthy Brikkim?" asks the Teacher.

Image

"Force of arms!" shouts the retiree.

Image

Ecklen draws a ceremonial golden sub-machine gun and aims it at the teacher's face. Before Ecklen pulls the trigger, Pibaaldoloch Hammonspergh can be heard muttering, "Oy Bley."

Finn Quinn erupts in squeals as his puppeteer's head bursts into gore.

Image

As the Teacher collapses, Quinn turns to his pair of guards and attempts to command them. "Kill my muse's murderer at once!"

Yet the guards just looked at one another. They were as all other Red Guards were; veteran Tithe Infantry who were bred and conditioned to fight for the FSU to the death. As they looked at one another they remembered their duty to stand in the way of danger for all the feeble and untrained folk across the Union, and recalled the heroes of yore; former presidents of conviction and self-risk such as Augustus 'Dubya' Caesar who charged into battle personally at Brickingrad. The more they gazed and thought, the more their allegiance fell away from the empty shell of a leader screeching at them.

Image

Instead of killing General Ecklen, the president's own guards set upon him with their cutlasses. "NO!" Quinn screams as he is diced, "all this action and decision is pure sin!"

Image

The moment Quinn crumples back, his former bodyguards raise up their swords and chant, "Sic Semper Cuckannis!"

Soon General Ecklen joins in.

Image

For the first time since he retired to marry the love of his life over twenty years ago, Ecklen dons his personal battle helmet.

"With no other leadership at hand to serve the nations of the Union, I, Cherrie Ecklen, will take up the helm of this great country until such time as the crises end."

Image

With his new Red Guards behind him, and certain that all armed forces across the FSU will gladly acquiesce to his command, the new leader of the Star Union makes his first executive decision.

"El Deplorablo

WILL

BE

AVENGED!!!"

For anyone else who reads this, I'll say this only once: Swastika dudes having a race war is not a good concept. This shit does not belong on the BrikWars forum.
