Nexo Knights

Post by vebulus » Sun Feb 14, 2016 4:36 pm

So what does everyone think of the new Nexo Knights sets? I just picked up a couple while out shopping and am loving the look of these new sets.

I adore the minifigures. Well, mostly the Knights. The little demon things are neat, I suppose.
I also like the concept.
I dislike the aesthetics of the sets themselves. They just strike me as awkward and garish. But that doesn't really matter because they have some cool parts in them. If I could buy them, I'd buy them for the minifigs though.

Yeah I'm likely to pick up a few more of them just for the knights myself and access to some of those sweet sweet parts, especially that OTC.

I love the theme quite a bit. It's the right blend of old and new aesthetics that make me feel like a kid again.

It's funny, I'm the opposite. I'm meh about the knights, but I love those demons (especially since they finally made a lego version of my hat).

The sets themselves are suspiciously Denver Broncos themed. But I like their functionality.

I think that they all look quite good!
I haven't really looked at the minifigs much but from what I've seen, they are pretty cool.

Yeah the demon figs are pretty much my favorite aspects of the series, especially the ones being released in the summer wave.

I just want to collect all of the demon people cause of how fiery they look.

You like fire? Not surprising, because fire represents passion and ambition.

That's it, right there. I couldn't put my finger on it when I was staring at a Lance's Mecha Horse box trying to get my eyes to adjust enough to identify just what the hell I was looking at. I don't follow sportsball but my much of my family is fanatic for it.

I bought the two generic knight vs demon sets, plus the Macy DX. Pretty cool, not super jazzed about the little shield windows, but happy to see studs on the armor, shields and the like. Plus, dark OTC. Really just need summer to get here so I can check out that power-armored guy.

EDIT 2-19-16: I picked up Moltor's Lava Smasher and Ultimate Clay. Moltor's thing is pretty fun: think a train with smashy bits... although very similar to the Ultra Agent's tank with punchy bits Tremor Track Infiltration. The bad guys even have power fist things (which I dig). I also see why I never see Ultimate Clay: he comes with four blue lightsaber hilts and five blue sword blade bits, and a blue Mega Man sort of helmet. Very cool, and good for handing out swanky weapons en masse to your army.

Officially the first theme I'm buying in to beyond a set or two in year.
It's a secret to everybody.

The only thing I like about it is the ultimate Clay set. Really cool Navy blue and Blue transparent parts.

I have to confess that I saw the sets and just went "Meh". But it is all down to personal taste.

I am still waiting for a Pharaoh's Quest reboot...
