I agree with Sullis, it's mostly a matter of perspective.

Although, even some of us with disposible incomes find a +$400 set to be beyond the pale. I mean, I can't actually take food out of my kids mouths for my hobby, can I?

No, really, I'm asking: Can I?

Well, I disagree. Painted parts can be a pain sometimes, but most of the time, I love them. They add more charater to vehicles and buildings, they make them more unique.

@ Sullis3's rant

Yeah, even though I'm nowhere near 30, I got a well-paying job recently, so I can't actually begin pick up some of the nicer sets.

i actually remember the older days! like all those space sets with wave after wave of just strange factions (ice planet, the UFOs, insectoids, exploriens, space police etc.), and i personally prefer those types of sets to the sleeker stuff coming out now. call me old-fashioned, but i actually like the days when curves were just gradual shifts using plates stacked on top of eachother as opposed to this new smooth crap. i mean it's asthetic, but it takes out so much of the flavor legos had IMO

Of course you can. I've heard about these kids, they don't need food as badly as you need more Lego.

If they need as much food as they need Lego, then they must be really poor! :P :P

It would be nice if Lego would re-release some of the "old" sets like the M Tron Mega Core Magnetizer, and I missed out completely on the ninja theme. Actually, if they would release those old minifig packs, that would be the best thing ever. But I can find nothing wrong with this last year's Castle theme. Despite the fact that I never built the model, the Avatar Fire Nation ship has a ton of usable parts. But I've enjoyed the 2nd iterations of all the Star Wars Legos they've done recently (looking at you AT ST!) So I'd like the old minifigs, but set-wise? I think they're fine.

I misspoke. I meant they don't deserve food as much as Wayne deserves Lego. Not all of them, anyway.

Really, you should do it Santa-Claus style. Who's on the Naughty list this week? Looks like you get coal to eat, and the money we would have spent on your food? You guessed it: more Lego for Wayne.

For you Moron, I expect a minifig representation of your current rank.

That "rank" is an error in the message boards.
