Moar Cowbell! (I mean art....)

And now I am finally posting up some more art. Keep in mind I didn't spend nearly as much time and effort on these as I did Two-Lip Tower. I don't really want critique as much as I want comments on whether or not I should take the time to complete these.

Sooooo.......

Here is my idea for the Mechanic stat card. Keep in mind that this is very "unofficial", and does not impose on Evil Wayne's rights to the "official" stat card artwork claim thingie.... If enough people like it I'll finish it so you guys can turn it into an (unofficial) stat card. If this image is to complicated for a stat card I'll make some new thumbnails for some other ideas that I had.

Only two pictures, sorry kids. Here's an idea that I had a while back for a Demotivational Poster. The original pic shows the minifig's face, but it got cropped when I made the poster. I think it's almost better this way.... Anyways, I'll finish this of enough people want me to. I don't like doing art for myself very much.

Ha! I'd love it if some newcomer upstart got the jump on Wayne, two years after he started. (Also the scene you're laying out is frankly cooler than his.) It won't fit very well into the stat card image shape right now though, you'd have to tighten it up a lot.

Also the sandwich and lunchpail could be switched to genuine lego elements - maybe the chicken leg and the suitcase?

Honestly, I've given up trying to stop the silly topic changes. If nobody comments on the art, then I'll just assume that you all would have written exactly what I want to read. Either way I get what I want. LoL

In response to Mike, I did take some artistic liberties with this pic. I honestly did consider the chicken and briefcase, but I thought that the sandwich seemed right somehow. I think that I could replace the lunch box with a cylinder stud thing with a handle. Then it would look like one of those lunch cylinders that miners use.

real nice regardless. If i were to make a suggestion, it'd be for less crap to be laying around the mechanic, and instead make the wall he's hiding behind a bit more interesting than two 2x4s stacked up on eachother.

Hey, I love the artwork, man. But, imo the mechanic should actually be in the process of building something, not just eating a sandwich. Still, it's great to see that some Mechanik artwork is finally being made. I salute ya!

Impossible. I can't imagine that I will ever think of a rank more evocative and satisfying than Smuggle Buddy.

Yeah I know, I say "I lol'd" a lot now. I think I used to just use "haha" as reply to something humorous, but that grew redundant. I would've got bored of "I lol'd" eventually, but you just pushed the process along.

Those are awesome drawings, Adean. I think I like your motivational poster the best, and cutting off the head of the minifig, in my opinion, is better than it being there.

I was actually trying to create a sense of humor similar to the Horse stat card. The horse is all happy and d a p p e r, while the skeletal rider looks less than happy. The horse couldn't care less though. Well, when I picture a construction worker, I see him eating a boxed lunch that his wife made for him. Cuz it's silly. Anyways, when I thought of this card I had many ideas, such as him hitting himself with a hammer or dismembering one of his hands with a saw. But when I started drawing it came out like this, and it seemed appropriate. Anyways, since this picture is rather busy, I'll probably finish it cuz I like it. But I'll probably make a simpler picture of a mechanik hurting himself somehow for the card. Humorous, but at least he looks busy.

Both pictures are very well drawn and very funny. The construction worker one is definitely my favorite, though. I can't imagine Wayne coming up with anything funnier.

Sorry I voted -3 but just because I thought the text was so funny. It's a really nice pice of work nice action captureing but I'm not really clear what he is holdong in his hand not the one with the saw.
