Assyrian "Oberon" Transport (battle setpiece?)
Okay, so maaaaybe it's a BIT larger than a Transport shuttle. This is the Oberon, a heavily armed Diplomatic Transport ship (not a SHIP, this is about 78 studs, so an ASHIP if you're feeling generous) It's not that heavily armed, as its main purpose isn't for warfare, but to shuttle around various Assyrian personel from planet to planet for war strategy talks, etc. This particular ship is en route to a territory controlled by the Pellenorian Military Systems (my army) to discuss an arms deal against the Immortal Empire. (Hey look, a backstory.)
The cockpit, similar to some of the ones on the Venus. The Cockpit is on a hinge as you can see, so it can swing open for playability. So far, only two console stations are manned, being overseen by the kind fellow in back with the whip. (I do have some Spyrius torsos for the pilots, but they are in use atm.)
The back of the bridge. Those two black guns are mostly for anti ground troops, they sort of operate like a very heavy sniper rifle.
The middle, with a heavy plasma cannon on each side, plus windows for the passengers to view the carnage.
Those wings really serve no purpose, but hey, they look nice.
Another heavy turret.
The entrance, added at the last minute, but still much better looking than the Siegfried's.
It opens into the engineering section.
An engineer tends to the back of the engine.
The engine, which the ship was built around.
The airlock, idea borrowed from the Venus. I put the guns from the Assyrians here, but once I finish the interior, I should have a proper armory made.
The 45th's Falcon is a strong fighter, but it can't face the might of the Assyrians.

What happened to paco? Did he finally succumb to my many killings of him?
Nice ship, my man. PS: We need to teach Saintchild how to post pics.

Thanks.BFenix wrote:Oberon? Hmmm, aint that the nova cannon hidden in Armaggedon that the Black Templars discovered during the third ork invasion of the planet? Or am I just reading to much 40K novels?
Still, the ship is nice, and you arent to far from making it a SHIP!
Actually, in keeping with Natalya's planetary naming motif (Venus, Mars Tank, Ceres Armored Car, etc.) I named it after one of Uranus' moons I used for a project several years ago: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oberon_(moon)
(lol, it was still in my favorites)
@Ogel Well following Paco's death, there was a bit of a power grab. Turns out getting killed a lot doesn't look good for your people.
