Vergilius Raskolnikov... in space!

Post by Arkbrik » Fri Aug 05, 2011 1:43 pm

I scrapped Vergilius Raskolnikov's ugly giant mech and built some tiny spaceships instead.

Image

The full fleet.

Image

This is Vergilius' flagship: the Lieutenant-class battleship Weltschmerz.

Image

Its pivoting guns allow it to either mass its firepower forwards...

Image

...or split it up in three directions.

Image

The stern is unprotected. But that's only an issue if you're travelling away from the enemy. And why would you do that?

Image

Two Henchman-class escorts. They have smaller defensive turrets mounted on their main guns.

Image

A Porter-class carrier. Its hangar decks transports two squadrons of Serf fighters.

So, what do you think?

I'm not a big micro scale fan but these are pretty slick.

They're like floating castles with guns. I like 'em.

Flagship is win. However, it could use something small in the middle of the deck just to fill up the little gap, as well as a little detail on the back of the bridge.

Reminds me of what I've heard about Battlefleet Gothic. In any case, nice job!

Yes that was my thought when I saw the flagship, - Greek Temple, - but in a good way mind you. :D
