[JJJ20] A New Boss In Town
Once again, like so many times before, StarCorps is skirmishing with troops of MagnaCorp, somewhere in the Henndirro Galaxy...
...and while usually the StarCorps stays victorious, this time the tides have turned. Long exhausting fights and lacking reinforcements thinned out their ranks, and MagnaCorp is clearly prevailing. Even the tough Titan Walkers fell to the enduring gunfire.
The few remaining StarCorps soldiers soon get a call to retreat, and MagnaCorp secures the checkpoint, cheering about the unexpected and seldom success.
They actually revel their victory so hard, that they not even notice the ground rumbling...
*SKRUNCH!* - A loud metallic creak fills the air as a mechanic... device crushes a LARV all of a sudden.
The MagnaCorps soldiers abruptly focus on the scene of action, not yet fully realizing what´s going on.
The other LARV´s driver looks up and can´t believe his eyes. "WHAT THE..."
*SPLURCH!* - he´ll never finish his sentence, for a large ray of energy disintegrates him and half of the vehicle split second.
What he saw several seconds before was the source of the ray, an impressive, dual-barreled Railgun, towering above the battlefield...
...which is mounted on a giant walking platform, which now slowly approaches the - still baffled - soldiers, opening fire from front-, and side-mounted machine guns.
The mega-sized mech moves forward, obliterating the remaining soldiers, stomping through the massive barriers at ease, while the sounds of charging railguns, homing missiles and gooified soldiers dominate the soundscape.
A radio message is heared in the background: "Operation "New Boss In Town" successful. Behemoth ready for combat missions. Testing phase finished. Proceed to enemy base."
Introducing the StarCorps Behemoth Class Heavy Walker, bringing annihilation to a battlefield near you!

Jeez, what a behemoth. Just shows there's no concept of 'overkill' in BW.
Re: [JJJ20] A New Boss In Town
Over... what´s this word? Over-kill? Never heard. I don´t understand this.
Re: [JJJ20] A New Boss In Town
The term you're looking for is "The correct kind of kill". Which is what this is.

Great walker! This is an excellent addition to starcorps, and I look forward to see it in action! More pictures would've been nice :/

I might be unfairly punishing this entry, but here goes! I think JJJ entries should be static vignettes rather than developing scenes, and a really good vignette could have been done that still tells the story of the red guys getting caught by surprise by the Blue walker. the build is still really excellent though.

I make apocalypses and apocalypse accessories.

I´m not taking this as unfair, because you´re right. Maybe with more time I could´ve made a static vignette with the same effectiveness.
