General Updates

Post by FISH!!! » Tue Feb 01, 2011 3:36 pm

Some stuff I've been working on...
First off,
Warhead wrote:there'll be a battlefield promotion for him for ridding me of Aktar after this battle I think
Well, since Carados got smashed, Deathstalker has been re-done.
Image
Yep, there he is.
Image
Close up.
Image
Hmmm...
Image
I was going to give him wings but I'm using them so he got a Daemonic jump-pack, instead...
Image
Did I take this picture again...
Image
I'm really not sure why chose to take these pictures...

Next off the Shades got redone.
Image
I got rid of the skelie and fixed the ones that looked odd. (Though that axed the Arrowboyz, I've replaced them with spear throwing Goblins)

After what I said on Warhead's topic, I've gone and carried it out and built this...
Image
One War-Chariot.
Image
Front view.
Image
Zombie Ninja dude, he was a made from the leftovers of the new Shades.

Moving on to Urack's replacement...
Image
Magduk, or a least he will be after my next forum battles.
Image
His cliche is 'Huntsman', so he comes with a crossbow as well.

I'm working on expanding my Pembridge squads, so...
Image
Two new cavalry officers, they're currently having a saddle problem. (And a horse down too.)

Magic.
Image
I'm still working on his name and stuff but the 'fig's done.

And last off, guess who's back...
Image
They're ready for one of my upcoming battles.
Image
Dan's now equiped with the Dragon mech.
Image
Some troops. The ones with sight-glass style objects are probably officers, and the other normal dudes.

That's all.

Cool. I like the sword on Deathstalker, might have to steal that. Maybe it would look better with the horns angled upwards, not sure though.

Updates are fine as they are; I try to make small changes to my armies as well every time they appear (where it's possible) to take away the feeling of the same guys killing each other over and over.

edit: maybe you could build some blok-horses for the time being?

Man, but these look great!

Image
DeathStalker!!! DEATHSTALKER!!! DEATHSTALKER!!! Lets hope even more Heros fall to his blade!..

I love the Chariot, the driver most of all. Is he a daemon? How did you fix on the red fins to his head? The shades look as nasty as always too.

Man you're really careless with your troops aren't you Warhead, you commanded that Blood Daemon and got it killed last battle  But I guess we should forgive you because I didn't give it a chance to do anything mentionable :)

The chariot's driver was in Clash of the Tides, he's a Blood Daemon, think you might have called him a ghost though. The head fins are simply blu-tak'd on.
Glad you like Deathstalker.

I have considered this, and probably will.

Malak has brought a Witch on a broom stick (Air suport) along with a ghost and Blood demon. (Powerful CC units)

No fair you guys, I kept these two together, and referred to them as Ghost and Blood Daemon... I think. I was in that much hurry to try and at least once beat von Bastard Brag from getting the Initiative PM that I was too busy for niceties like names. BTW F!Sh, nice job continually covering the Blood Daemons face, no wonder I never recognised him!

The Blood Daemon and Ghost did what I wanted, they redshirted and killed lots of stuff trying to kill me. That's almost exceeding expectations. :D

Today, I did some more work on Pembridge.
Image
Now that's a much more impressive army. At the front we have the hero's...
Image
First off, we have King Brian and Marshal Jack. (who's now recovered from his injuries at the Red Keep)
Image
Then there's my Sigfig, Marshal Stompy and an Admiral.
Image
The full cavalry, I've managed to fix the horse/saddle problem, (Let's just say Fabian's on foot again...) I still need to find a new squad plate for them though.
Image
The Sailers, they have the Water Mage now...
Image
The Rangers, you can spot the new guy as I have still to decal him.
Image
The Guardsmen, woefully short in numbers, thus they're in a different formation. The funny guy at the back needs work, I'll probably replace him with another Water Mage.

That's all.

The cavalry looks pretty neat. I like how you seem to be gradually harvesting from a pile of spare minifig parts to work on your army. Guardsmen are indeed pretty small in number, perhaps if you could find some random blue torsos you could make some motley squad like you did for the Red Lions to back them up?

This

I'm also quite pleased with the use of thick cloth for capes. The appearance is much more rugged.

Desided to change Warhead's Sigfig, so it's more like the other, current, Fantasy Warheads.
Image
He still has his Nightmare stead and Soul Blade, but I've redone the armour (Accually I've just switched it with the Uh-holy Campion). He's also remade Aktar's staff.
Image
Close up of new armour.

Cool, liking the pauldron touch, you now could just give him the black t-visor fantasy helm with some flames and you would get a Zahru-ish Warhead, unless you want to keep originality

Haven't got one spare, I'll have to see, though I might just keep him this way, for now.
