Stop Motion Assignment

So my media arts class just got assigned a stop motion project, and I'm of course using LEGO for mine. It's an available resource, and I've done it before, so it shouldn't be that hard.

Now I was planning to do mine as a LEGO version of a part from Unchated 2: Among Thieves. (It's from 1:40 to 2:25)

I already have the minifig for Lt. Draza (the guy who calls in the gunship), and the trooper and heavy would be relatively easy to make. But the problem is I need a good head for Drake (player). It needs to be yellow, since the Draza minifig is yellow. Any suggestions?

I'll post the project when it's done, but for now I'm gonna be asking for some advice from time to time.

Also, does anyone have any alternative ideas for the stop motion itself? If this doesn't work out I'm gonna need a fallback.

Oh my god, that's perfect. (yes I know that's actually supposed to be Drake) Do the head and hair by any chance happen to come together in any one set? If not, then what's the smallest set the head comes in?

Best thing to do would be Bricklink it, but I don't know if they come in a set. I the picture is form a user on Flikr named Dano not form me. I do have multiples of the head and hair but don't remember if I got them form any one set.

Problem with Bricklink is that you need Paypal (last time I checked). My mom doesn't have a credit card and recently had $800 stolen from her bank account so she doesn't want to risk linking her account to Paypal. I'll try to find a set on Bricklink and see if I can find it in stores though.

Alright, well I found some buyable sets with the head, and here are my options:

Cannon Battle: get some cool pieces with it, but otherwise nothing special.
Kraken Attackin': Ideal since it comes with logs for the scene, but costs more and I need to save up for a concert in August.

I wish it was a Rush concert, it's a Greenday concert (waits for slander). Not awesome I know, but my friend already got the ticks and I agreed to go... had I known about the Rush concert before she bought the tickets I would've talked about going to that instead. Lets' just hope Greenday plays some of their old good stuff, or else I'm gonna smash someone's head in. If I'm choosing this over Rush, it'd better be worth it.

Eh, Greenday is cool as well. And hey, if your- *koff* -friend asked you to go, that's fine as well. I'm just really, really interested in hearing Rush's new songs.

I actually wasn't planning on buying the ticket, but I heard on the radio that the lawn seats were only 40 bucks the night before they went on sale (when I was expecting they were going to be the in the tune of 80+), so I went ahead and blew the cash on the ticket. Should be fun.

Be sure to take a vid of Neil Peart doing a drum solo and post it here. There's no way he won't do one, even at his current age. Man's a beast.

Completely changed my idea now, I've thought of something much more epic. I'm not gonna tell you what it is, but I'll give you a tiny hint.

Yes the original is more awesome, but the remix is way better for what I'm planning.


I'll probably do the Uncharted 2 stop motion on my spare time just for the hell of it.
