I felt the same way, but since it's a n00b running the game, there's no way to avoid it, based on the following logical progression:

(1) A n00b is running the game
(2) Due to (1), only other n00bs (and attendant n00bflies) will want to play it
(3) Due to (1) and (2), there's no way to run such a game without n00bs replying to other n00bs

The saving grace is that posting here takes up time that they might be using to post on other threads, so it helps the rest of us overall.
