"You should know how many security doors and checkpoints we have to pass every day. With our cards we have clearance for security levels up to at least 8. With this one we can enter areas with security level up to 18. That should give us more mobility if we want to evade any more of these beasts."

I take a glimpse at the corpse.

"Alec, what's tanking you so long? It's weaknesses are obvious: It's an exosceleton and it has the same weaknesses as any armor: the joints.

We have wasted too much time already. Let's move to the next security office. We need to know how bad the situation really is. And then get out of here asap."

I go down the corridor towards the next exit/staircase/elevator, knife in hand. I am carefull and wary.

Neck joints?

Destroying knee joints would immobilize it, and destroying arm joints would probably incapacitate it.

Hmm, maybe neck joints would have the thing's spinal cord underneath? If so, we could paralyze the thing.

"Possibly removing a couple of legs to slow it down, followed by an exploding plasma ball to the neck could handle these things quite nicely..."
