Besides, I'd like to further derail this into abject racism.

I think this is a racist way of saying that there are good and bad people in every race, sexual orientation, gender and culture.

Indeed, such as the Boondocks animated series having terms such as "el nigre Moment" and "el nigre technology".

I'm a little sad that el nigre's on the word filter, but then again maybe I shouldn't be.

It's one thing to say someone's acting like a el nigre, visitor, handsome devil, or whatever, because they're pandering to the exact painful stereotypes that are so hard for cultures to overcome. It's part of why there was such an uproar at Brag for being an ignorant white guy by saying ignorant white guy things.

But the second you catch yourself explaining the difference between a el nigre and a black person, you've lost the game. Someone who is fulfilling a stereotype should not incriminate their race or culture, but by explaining it away as "oh well he stole my grape-flavored menthol bike because he is a el nigre" means that if he were not black but was still raised in the same socio-economic cultural and family dynamic and not a single other facet of his life was changed that he would for some reason not decide to steal your bike. People act like idiots just because people are idiots. If you need to blame idiocy on the color of someone's skin or the gender they identify with, you're missing the entire human condition.

Can the heads be put on minifig torsos? I haven't gotten any, but I thought Friends had necks that were only a minifig accessory width, not a stud width. I know the hair and headpieces are mostly interchangeable.

I guess you're right. Nothing a dremel can't fix, though.

My oldest daughter saw these at Legoland and fell in love. She loves pink, blue, pretty girls, clothes, accessories, makeup... imagine that... Iguess shes just some gender stereotype. Shes always lved our Legos and often plays with her brother and me. My only compaint with these sets are the lame minifigs. Even my daughter asked why they they looked silly and I have not expressed my dissatisfaction with them.

They look silly so that you don't feel bad about modding them. I've never had the backbone to repaint a minifig (even at the office I stick to removable printed decals while everyone else is going nuts with the spraypaint) (lol "stick to"), but I have no qualms about painting the crap out of those Fiends figures.

I've had the unusual opportunity to read all of this and really absorb all of it at once, and this is what I have to say on the issue.

Some part of my engineer instinct makes me want to try to solve privilege, because it's clearly a problem if so many people are complaining and being activists about it, yeah? , but it's incredibly murky and difficult to handle, because things like gender, race, income are mutable things on an individual level, and all i can really see happening with this issue is the focus slowly shifting from "Rich white guys" to "Rich Guys" as the continuing trend of the modern age( success of the so called "political correctness" that Brag hated so much? Evidence of age old adage that when new things come along your firmest opponents are those who had things going just fine before? I hope so) continues.

I really try not to judge people at all. It works out okay.
