Damn... I'm so glad that Doom has evolved all the way to Halo and CoD. Those technological improvements have really innovated the gameplay.

If this was the only new thing in videogames in the last decade I would still be happy.

That's like saying that Pokemon has evolved because they introduced running.

Yeah. It's not like Halo perfected vehicles, grenades and the health system.

Yes. That's why all games are perfect now.

It would be good if it was like a true-3d version of Super Smash Brothers.

My friends have agreed that a 150 character smash-style game of all pokemon would be FUCKING FANTASTIC.

What horseman said. BUT: also some of the other good pokemon, like tyranitar and hydregion, and also a crossover with Marvel so we could have deadpool. if smash bros was ever 3d, it would have to be 3rd person like Ratchet and clank or like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z-FRb8CZ__I

I've never been able to enjoy Pokemon or Final Fantasy or anything with menu-based combat and canned animations (or no animations, as per Pokemon). There are just so many more interesting ways to do it.

Because they can keep selling it and people buy it up.

And just because you don't like menu-based combat doesn't mean it's sucky gameplay.

I didn't play Pokemon during that important period of my tween life where it would have made a serious impact on me, so I find it rather difficult to set into it now, although I can still appreciate the game. I'm- not much of a fan of excessive grinding? I don't know, I just derp my way around the world with some cool looking pocket monsters, fighting for the highest bidder and bringing down the system from within- wait what
