A little, but my idea was that it wouldn't add an explosive radius since you're not doing anything to change the attack type, just bump it's power up. Not that explosions are bad...
I think I like 2d6 better, but what would the difference be for siege-level plasma weapons? do you double the weapon size, or add another d6?
