Shotgun and Autofire

Post by Tarren » Sun Dec 14, 2008 4:49 pm

Yes, another thread about them.
Could someone post the links here to the threads that finalized the rules? Unless they're in the rulebook...

The initial discussion thread for auto fire is here, and the finalization thread is here.

The third thread, in which we actually voted, is here.
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

Ok..
so is Shotgun just a 1d6+1 that hits everyone in a finger cone?

I have no idea. The threads I posted were for auto fire. Shotguns are completely different.

Actually all those are the ones where we just discussed what to do for rules. The finalized ruleset is here.

As for shotguns, we never decided on a final setting for them. Part of the argument was saying fingercones were a bad idea though, because at the ranges shotguns are used in brikwars, a fingercone didn't really mean much of anything. I think someone suggested simply 2d6 damage and a range of 6", and I don't really have a problem with that. Simplicity is usually best.

Oops, I must have missed the fourth thread. We're so crazy.

I just use a warhammer 40k Flamer template.

The pdf is right here.

There was a smaller flamer template in the old necromunda box, but they realised it was worthless, and dropped it entirely.

Flame markers are for the small-minded and weak. I just roll 1d6 for the radius of hits, and 1d6 damage for each shot. If you roll a 1 on the radius roll, they all mesh together and hit one fig, doing 2d6 damage. And the range is 7 inches. That's my system, at least.

I usually just use finger cones and the blast/auto fire templates from the Starship Troopers Miniatures game starter set I have.

Or you could just imagine it.

I never used rulers for measuring troopers' movements anymore. I move them aproximately 15/16 per turn for the normal ones and it's a lot faster.
