Just did this over the weekend for work.
9 hours in SketchUp
I suppose it would have been faster but I havent touched SketchUp in 2 years.
The barn / garage on the right is a new addition design.

Cool, give it more Gothic maybe a gargoyle or twenty and you could call it Wayne Mansion. I want to live there already.

I've downloaded SketchUp and have played around in it for a bit, but I could never work long enough to build an entire house. This actually gave me a good idea for building things I've drawn on my whiteboard. I was going to do them in a different 3d program, but SketchUp would work as well. This is cool.
EDIT: What kind of lunatic attaches a barn to their house?
Often, literally, a pillow fight but may include similar situations like volleyball, particularly when wardrobe is skimpy and the action is bouncy.

I know several farmers who would love to be able to attach their barn to their house.

Well the architect is calling it a barn, I'm calling it a garage.
The first floor will be a garage. The second will be a home office.
There will be a basement for a small boat.
SketchUp is the easiest 3d program to learn and its actually fun to use!
If you follow along with the tutorial you learn the basics.
Sorry, no gargoyles.

I love sketchup, Im currently working on 3d versions of my lego town buildings for a future inbrikquitor scenario, so I can give the marine team a 3d analysis of the situation where they can come up with a plan of action, while the terrorists only get a hand drawn map.
