THE DEADLY SPACEMEN
The Deadly Spacemen all rush forward and give battle to the mighty Cthulhu. A large green slimy tongue slides out.
Tentacles and tongue thrash about trying to ensnare the darting warriors.
The White Deadly Spaceman fends off Cthulhu's slithering tongue and shoots through the wall of blood.
With his Power Glaive Yellow severs a waving black tentacle. It's the first sign of a weakness yet as burning hot ichor gushes out.
Red runs forward about to throw the two Proto-Bombs...
Suddenly a mouth darts out of the portal and the tongue spears the hapless White Deadly Spaceman. Red is sent flying, dropping the Proto-Bombs as he falls.
Although torn in half with his guts dropping out White is still alive and is dragged screaming into the waiting maw.
He's still a Deadly Spaceman however and as he is being consumed and his soul ripped from his body he continues to stab at Cthulhu.
Red picks himself up from where he was thrown. His Deadly Spaceman Blaster is ruined but he is not dismayed. One of the deadliest things about the Deadly Spaceman is his craft at building.
Moments later and the first Daemon Slayer Gatling Chainsaw Eggwhisk is born!..
Blast after blast tears into Cthulhu, thankfully killing White in the process. Screeches wail out across the battlefield and Cthulhu retracts his mouth.
But the tongue darts back out seeking for another victim.
Something strange then happens. From where the Proto-Bombs were dropped a weird shimmer emanates...
Flowers sprout from the ground and the once inanimate Proto-Figs, minus their bombs stand up. Ethereal singing invades the sounds of battle in the air and Cthulhu recoils as if hurt. What is going on!..

Until now I'm pretty certain the daemons could've done more damage than Cthulhu if they had staid, but there's of course the awesomeness factor that counts for a bit as well. Still, protofigs and singing, lol?
Edit: If a britney spears record were aimed at him I'd completely understand though.

THE IMMORTALS
Volt reclaims his power staff and takes to the skys.
What could be safer than the top of the Peach Pirates ORCA Gunship?..
Flying machines, so delicate and breakable. So many things can go wrong. Volt begins to gather in his Psionic power channelling it into his power staff for the mayhem he's about to unleash. (Next Turn).
Knowing full well that staying in the same place is a snipers death sentence Joe Pineapples moves out.
With his bare hands he tears apart the blast door and steps inside the darkness...
...and lurks ready for the next kill.
M.Q.S. collects his fallen weapons...
He fits the Bastard Blaster Hand Cannon together (The most powerful handgun in creation).
He then tries very hard to remember what it was he was to do...
...ah yes, that's what it was. 
FIRE IN THE HOLE!
BLAMO!
Unfortunately only 8 points of damage on 2D6 wasn't enough. The blast area was only 1" out of 1D6/2" so not very great, didn't even hit any VOL. Still...
It is kinda pretty.
