The Planetary Levitican Empire or P.L.E is a small but powerful empire located in the Ruptured Galaxy. The P.L.E is a very old civilization, and fought many wars to reach its current status, and has not been involved in any major conflict since defeating TGIA and GEA in the 2 way War For Kandors in 2014. Only recently has that changed, with the coming about of the Union after allegations of racial discrimination after P.L.E retired most Peach Soldiers in favour of Yellows, who proved to be less fanatical and more disciplined. After this the Leaf Peoples Freedom Union came about, becoming a thorn in the P.L.E's side. Shortly after, TGIA regained control over the skies of Kandors, and the P.L.E was fighting a war on two fronts. The P.L.E sought help by traveling into the Galaxia Nehellenium, and found an ally in the Galacian Republic.

History
Colonizing The Leaf Sector
The people of the Leaf Sector where many, and quickly colonized planets across the Sector. The many tribes could not exist beside each over coherently though and quickly began disputed over several systems. War was still rather primitive, even though the factions had basic space travel, their armaments were pre-tek 3. Full-scale war soon engulfed many systems and whole civilizations of races where wiped out. Four tribes rose out of the ashes to claim territory. These where the Levitican, Izzykian, Hathoran and Miaran Tribes. Peace ensued for a year afterward, the 4 colonies minding their own business and refraining from making contact with each over. That all changed, however, when the Izzykian Colonists began trading Vast quantities of food with the Hathoran Tribe for weapons. This grew to be more than just a trade deal, however, and the two colonies noted the growing power and growth of the Levitican's, and drew their plans against them. The allies took advantage of the pacifist Miaran people, and began enslaving Miaran Colonies. The Leviticans watched on, not wanting to get involved. The Leviticans had no choice however when Hathoran ships launched an attack on a Levitican Spice freighter, killing 27 of the 100 crew on board. The rest where taken captive and enslaved. The Levitican declared war on the Hathorans, and the second Leaf War began. Due to growing tension between Izzykian and Hathoran leaders over who should watch over the Miaran slaves, their forces where defeated in every battle against the Leviticans, and the allies were focused on the offensive so much that their people at home were forgotten, and disease ripped through their cities. The Leviticans were victorious, and the Leaf Sector saw its first Empire. Henceforth the Leviticans where known as the Planetary Levitican Empire. The other tribes were now kept under tight control and resistances where quickly put out. The P.L.E swept across the Leaf Sector, claiming 30 systems.
War In The Mid Sector
The PLE where not alone though, and sightings of Blue and Orange ships were spotted by Levitican Colonists, who where searching the Galaxy for more systems to conquer.On 2013 one PLE Colonist ship, the Starreacher, took heavy fire from an unknown contact. The Starreacher made it out, destroying three enemy ships. The PLE quickly retaliated with a force of five ships that went through the location of the Starreacher assault. The fleet came across a small planet, with seven ships waiting in ambush. The battle was short and fierce, with the remaining enemy ships fleeing. The PLE lost one cruiser and three others took heavy damage. The unknown faction was less fortunate, and lost three ships and had three damaged. The planet was colonized with no resistance, and the PLE awaited the next move of their opponent. The unknown force revealed themselves to be the TGIA, the empire controlling this new sector, known as the Mid Sector. War broke out, and the PLE launched a full-scale invasion into the Mid Sector. The TGIA was oppressing a small mining faction, and this faction quickly ran to the PLE for assistance. They where known as Zone Mining, a small militia faction of free people who disliked the TGIA immensely. The War escalated on the planet called Kandors, in which PLE and Zone crushed the TGIA and GE forces in a land slide victory. The war eventually destroyed both GE and TGIA forces, and the remains of the TGIA's once great empire fled into hiding.
The Second Kandors War and the birth of the Union
The PLE was at the height of its power, and no one would dare challenge them. Not all was perfect for the empire, though, and threats lurked in the darkest corners of the galaxy. The TGIA and GE had both reformed their militaries whilst in hiding, and both parties launched an attack on Kandors. The PLE and Zone MC Blockade was not enough to keep two forces out, and TGIA eventually broke through. The entire GEA and Zone MC fleets were wiped out, and the PLE had no choice but to retreat and re-group. The ground war didn't go as well for the TGIA though, with PLE and Zone MC forces repeatedly defeating TGIA forces. During one heated battle for a key position in the second war for Kandors, a Zone MC fighter Pilot kamikazed into PLE militia forces, wiping them out completely. The PLE tank battalion fought bravely, but the TGIA infantry overwhelmed tanks and there was no second chance at taking back the position. The PLE had to pull back and dig in, TGIA doing likewise. PLE intelligence uncovered that the pilot was in fact following orders of a Zone MC general, which the Zone MC denied, saying that the pilot was a radical. The PLE was outraged, and the alliance was broken. Zone MC immediately began fighting against PLE ground forces, but to no avail. It was for certain now that the Zone MC were war mongers, and the second war on Kandors has now boiled down to trench warfare. Meanwhile, the PLE politicians filed for the retirement of all Peach soldiers, saying that the PLE "Needed the best if it ever wanted to take back Kandors". Many were outraged, saying that the Peach were fit to fight and that this was an act of "Racial Discrimination". The P.L.E denied these allegations, and went on and dismissed all peach personnel from the military. This caused major rioting and chaos across heavily peach populated planets, and the Leaf Peoples Freedom Party came about to try and stop the P.L.E dismissing all peach. They failed to stop the policy, and where taken down by P.L.E commandos after rumors of LPFP members planning terrorist attacks. One extremist escaped, though, and went on to brainwash the fragile mining planets of the Leaf Galaxy with leftist-communist ideals. He soon had a vast network of militia groups spread across 5 systems. Many mines were destroyed, and P.L.E forces having no choice but to leave the mining areas due to vast numbers of militants. The communist leader revealed himself to be Vlad Porochnyy, the only remaining party member of the former LPFP. He soon had a vast army at his command, and full-scale war spread through out the mining worlds. The militia sought friendship with various other anti-Levitican groups, such as the Goblin Space Raiders and the PALM. The three parties soon joined together to form the Leaf Peoples Freedom Union, or commonly known as "The Union" by most Levitican people. War raged across the Leaf galaxy, but the empire hung on. The Union did not have enough troops to combat the vast army of the Leviticans, and so the top scientists of the Union began concocting a zombie-like virus that turns the host into a flesh eating killing machine. What made them deadly, was their sense of intelligence. This proved to be a huge threat to the imperial home worlds, as mafia groups and smugglers smuggled the virus into key planets for large amounts of dosh. Thus the P.L.E sought help and stumbled across the vast and diverse Galaxia Nehellenium. There they found the Galacian Federal Republic, which took the P.L.E under its wing, providing it with Military resources to help combat the Union threat.
Culture and Governance
The Leviticans have always valued the people's freedom but at the same time want a secure society. Each planet has a Governor who is basically the Emporers eyes and ears for the planet, but the governor can make his own decisions, as long as they do not clash with the P.L.E's ideals. Most governors are quite loyal to the empire, though, and don't make any controversial decisions. The Levitican people are quite happy with their freedoms, and due to the public education system that has been in place since the very birth of the Empire in G.R. 2012, 65% of the population is involved with the military. All citizens undergo compulsory basic military training once they reach their teen years, so that even if the military fails, the empire has the reserve division and then the rest of the civilian population to help defend the empire. The education system is not in place on many border worlds, though, hence the rising of the Union.
Organizations and Companies
The Leaf Sector has several powerful and influential organizations that keep the Empire running.
Independent Organizations
Levitican P.E.A.C.E branch - P.E.A.C.E. is an organization aimed at supplying third world or war inflicted areas with humanitarian aid and resources to rebuild their ruined homes. It is currently working side by side with the P.L.E. to help areas suffering from the ongoing war with the Union. Its top scientists are currently working on a cure or vaccine to end the rage/zombie virus that is troubling several major Levitican Systems.
Mining Corporations
The P.L.E, like many other powerful civilizations, heavily relies on the mining business. There are currently three major mining corporations all fighting for top spot on the mining market. The following are the three companies in order of wealth/assets.
The Emporers Mining Men or TEMM- TEMM is a galaxy-wide organization and is the most wealthy and well known of the three corporations. It was founded in the early years of the Empire by the Emporer himself, making it an Imperial owned organization. Its current CEO is former General Mikael Thorne, a veteran of The First Kandor War. TEMM supplies over 60% of the Empires resources, serving both military and civilian groups alike.
Saturnia Mining Group or SMG- SMG is a mining corporation based on several of the Saturnia systems, planets with rare and valuable minerals. All of its resources go to directly to the Imperial Military, and the Corporations CEO Robert "Bob" Kowalski is proud of his companies commitment to the Imperial War Machine.
Colonies of Juptera- The colonies of Juptera are at the bottom of the top three mining groups. They are stationed across several of the more isolated P.L.E. colonies in Wild Space. They specialize in extremely rare and precious gems, selling them all across the Ruptured Galaxy for a large profit. They also supply some military and civilian groups stationed in Wild Space.
Major companies
Blackphoenix Private Security- BPS was founded by a former P.L.E. soldier who wanted to protect the isolated out world colonies of the Empire that did not have enough military protection. It now protects several key colonies, mainly across Wild Space. BPS is also hired to protect the mining sights of SMG and Juptera.
Levitican Galactic News Network or the LGNN- LGNN is the galactic wide Media corporation funded and run by the Empire and is its main propaganda outlet.
Levitican Arms Factories or LAF Weapons- LAF Weapons is the primary manufacturer of Infantry Weapons, Armour and Armaments for the soldiers of the Empire. LAF is always producing state of the art weaponry such as Precision Lazer Rifles, Automatic Shock Pistols, Rapid Fire Grenade Launchers and Lazer powered Sub-Machine Guns, just to name a few.
